Sometimes the majority can't get what they want.
Forums for SMBX
https://www.smbxgame.com/forums/
I'll post a beta in a second, including graphics from pages 36-40 and will add to it in the next few days, until I caught up with everything. I have a different setup as of now, but with more graphics being added that might change later on. The way I have it now makes sense for the graphics I have encountered so far, but yours sounds interesting.Tervantez2345 wrote:I suggest theme seperating:
Grass
Desert+Ruins
Water+Beach
Mountain+Sky
Ghost+Dark
Castle+Factory
Jungle+Forest
Millitary (Airship, Tank, Navy)
Cave+Lava
Something else
Yeah, organizing them in one index topic by theme sounds like a good idea. Better than like 50 subforums.Emral wrote:Actually thinking about it, this topic method does look much tidier than if we were to make a dozen forums for everything:Sorted by Theme, Style and AlphabetSpoiler: show
Well, two reasons:Marina wrote:Huh, I'm curious as to what speaks against having more subforums for SMBX-related things? I mean, it would only help make the forum more organized, right?
There's still a lot of people that have interest in SMBX. I don't see why you won't do this just because you believe the game is dying.Joey wrote:As for creating subforums for anything SMBX-related: the game is very slowly fading out of relevance - creating more subforums would go against the natural depreciation of interest that is happening.
I didn't say there weren't people with interest in SMBX. I said there's a depreciation of interest in SMBX. If we created a bunch of graphic subforums, we would end up removing them somewhere down the road.Zeldamaster12 wrote:There's still a lot of people that have interest in SMBX. But by following that logic and mindset, if we created a forum dedicated to SMBX, we would end up removing it somewhere down the road.Joey wrote:If we created a bunch of graphic subforums, we would end up removing them somewhere down the road.
Do you like creating pointless arguments?8bitmushroom wrote:But by following that logic and mindset, if we created a forum dedicated to SMBX, we would end up removing it somewhere down the road.
Did you bother to read the rest of my post or are you just nitpicking reasons to call me out for something irrelevant?Joey wrote:Do you like creating pointless arguments?8bitmushroom wrote:But by following that logic and mindset, if we created a forum dedicated to SMBX, we would end up removing it somewhere down the road.
Gee, you mean the site that is dedicated to SMBX should discourage any expansion in the interest of the game for which it even exists? Somehow that offends my sense of logic.Joey wrote:As for creating subforums for anything SMBX-related: the game is very slowly fading out of relevance - creating more subforums would go against the natural depreciation of interest that is happening.
This would be the best option. I could probably create it but it would take some time from me. Feel free to create something like this and I'll review it and add it to the graphics section of the site.Wohlstand wrote:I think, we should to create a GFX catalogue system which will provide search by various things to have able find stuff more convenient. It is my old idea to implement this thing to allow find necessary graphics to get usage of them. Engine will be based on the database with tables: graphics and categories, styles. We will have able to search graphics by: title, style, category, color theme, etc.
If I do these threads, would that be ok?Joey wrote:This would be the best option. I could probably create it but it would take some time from me.
