Sorry if this was answered or not, and I feel if it isn't mentioned here it should be.
What gfx from the level and world editors can you make custom?

I specifically just need to know about the world editor cgfx options but any knowledge of limititations would be useful.

Every single one. For the world map, though, it is recomended to use PGE Editor (it's stickied in the General forum) for custom graphics, as using them in SMBX crashes the game. In PGE it's safe. And for hardcoded GFX, you have to either use LunaLua, or extract the GFX from SMBX and put your own back into the exe.

Not every single one, but all the ones that are in the "graphics" folder at the SMBX root (which are most of them). You can't replace things like the HUD without modifying the .exe.

EDIT: this is no longer true - the hard coded graphics can be replaced in 2.0.

i tried to save it on many other folders, but I still can't see them when I use File Explorer.

Move SMBX out of Program Files to your desktop or something.

At first they didn't appear, but for some reason they were where the old folder was until I moved it. I saved them in the new location and that seemed to have done the trick. Thanks for the idea!

To use custom graphics on the world map, place the graphic replacements in your main episode folder, outside of any specific level folders. If you replace scenery objects ("scenes" in the filenames) 33 or higher, though, you will encounter a runtime error when you try to save in the default SMBX editor, so make sure you replace those after the fact or just use PGE.

Erm, the video doesn't work. It's set to be private only. Also, I'm pretty sure anyone will be able to start the editor, regardless of whether their IQ is 100 or -100.

When I try to load the game it says something like "File 53 not found". I extracted the files (twice) pls halp
