I understand Joey wants a more involved system but it's obvious that's not happening anytime soon. SMBR+ had a anything goes system within the first month - I played the heck out of that.

Haha yeah, don't mind me, just predictable Joey again. Remember last year when I changed my name to CaptainTrek? Haha.

Did you think I would sink so low as to include a message in the post saying that it was for April Fools' Day???

I was convincing, wasn't I? Joke's on you guys. Except everybody kind of wins.

The fact is, the fine print is actually the April Fools' joke. Everything (with the exception of the Finnish Defense Force part, of course) in the post is true and is going to happen. Yes, the events on those dates will take place. Yes, the threads have been sitting dormant in the staff forum. Yes, the first RP will be called The Invasion. Fan fiction posting will also be reopened.

This'll be a step in the right direction for bringing us together, so get excited because it's for real this time.

Did you add that part later because I don't remember it in the original post.

Also I'd like to request that once roleplaying really kicks off, we not focus it on just straightforward Mario? Because there's only so much we can do with the Mario.

Quill and I have figured out a way to handle the Marioverse situation. Basically, what's going to happen is that the first RP will be restricted to the Marioverse. After that, we're going to open it up to more Nintendo franchises. We'll detail that more once it becomes relevant.

Like I said, I don't like the fact that you are having limits on only Nintendo franchises. What if people want a roleplay based on a non-Nintendo franchise or game/other media? We can't make it due to limits.

The underlined part means that not all of his and Quill's plan for the RP section has been mentioned. He wants to start with a Mario RP, then he's opening it up to more Nintendo franchises. I'm sure eventually it'll be more than just Nintendo.
