I think I can only really do one, and that's "Don't horse around in the SMBX.org forums". That should be enough, but I just need to figure out how to phrase it to hit all bases. I don't see why we as a community can't refrain from cracking wise on the forum about this community's present and future.

Have you guys lost touch with reality or something? You are aware that this is a SUPER MARIO FORUM???
like you take this place waaaaaaayyyy too seriously
"don't horse around" - it's not a school / work environment! it's a frickin' DISCUSSION BOARD FOR A VIDEO GAME SERIES WITH A TARGET AUDIENCE OF 3 YEAR OLDS
so many god-damn debates and obvious virgin-fueled rage here
it's unreal

So, what, are you saying we should just remove SMBX.org then?

Alright, guys, enough.
Palisade, like I said, that exact attitude is what's holding us back. I fully agree that this community should be a place for people to relax and hang out, but not at the expense of post readability and, more importantly, general maturity. Hanging out != acting like a jackass.

Not saying you should remove smbx.org I'm just saying you all need to calm down and stop focusing your time and energy arguing on how a forum should work
this is so silly and pointless and in a couple of years time most of you will realise this

You sure you're not Knux?
But seriously, I think a staff team taking their job seriously is definitely a good thing, although I think a few staffers and users take it a bit too seriously, but we definitely shouldn't let this get handled so loosely.
And pointless =! bad
Also, why can't we have discussions over more serious stuff on a forum with a "target audience of 3 ywar olds"? A pretty big share of the active and respected users are definitely not 3 years old. Debates can be had on pretty much every forum, as long as the people suited for them are there.
And if you don't like having debates on a Super Mario forum, then why are you partaking in a debate on a SM forum?

I wouldn't even say this is a debate - just pointlessness. Yeah you're right about talking about serious stuff on this forum but my point is why waste time arguing all the time if nobody can come to an agreement. The staff seem a little bit arrogant (no offence) , and it's not like you HAVE to be here. waaay too much time and effort is put into this Apologies if I wasn't clear about that earlier
No I am not Knux. This has been cleared up with Joey

So you're saying that everyone trying to work toward all of us having an enjoyable experience on these forums is pointless?

Just going to say this. The SMBX community consists of mostly people 14 and older. If you think that Mario is for 3 year olds, then how about you get on SMBX and tell us how easy it is to make a perfect quality level. Oh and if you think that this whole ordeal is pointless, then why are you still trying to be involved?
Your logic is so flawed.

Turtwig I'm saying you need to chill out instead of getting so worked up for something that doesn't matter that much
Zeldamaster12 honestly, 14 isn't a very mature age
the target audience for Mario is a 3 year old. If your school friends ask "hey what did you do at the weekend?" how lame must you sound when your response is "i argued on a super mario forum"
think about it. I'm not putting my entire time into this but some people here are - that's why i think it's pointless/waste of time
nothing wrong with a bit of debate but some of you seem to be here 24/7 complaining

Are you aware that more of the older generation actually play Mario than a generation that young? You must be stupid if you think the target audience for Mario is 3 year olds.
And some of my friends know about me being on these forums, but guess what? They don't care because it's my thing and I enjoy Nintendo gaming. There's no problem with that, but if you think there is, then tell it to the 2500 members of this community.

I like the descriptive reply!
Seriously though, what exactly is your point if I'm evidently not getting it? Please enlighten me.

Technically sometimes yes it is like that depending on people. Especially since at least 3 year olds don't cuss, and the both do get angry at a lot of things.
But anyways, how does this even have to do with a sorry reply?

What you're not getting is that when I say that the target audience is aimed at kids I'm saying that you're arguing ALL THE TIME on a forum about a kid's game
The target audience does tend to be the younger generation of gamers
in no way did I imply what you have just said

This is a community of 2500 members and growing. Do you honestly expect everything to be peaceful? Not one community that is this large will just be everyone filled with peace, you're going to see drama no matter what.
Oh and just because this is a Mario forum doesn't mean that, again, everything will simply be peaceful. And even then, the drama you're seeing isn't even about SMBX; it's about the community.

I'd like to know what communities you lived in to reach that conclusion, because that's a pretty pessimistic conclusion.
Anyway, I did not mean for this to be Palisade telling people that they need to lighten up. He's right though. I wish he would say it like a normal person instead of being a wisecracker, but a lot of arguments that this forum has had has been 100% pointless. It's not something you should accept, it's something you should understand and work to avoid doing. There's other things to do here besides get into slapfights. You don't HAVE to participate.
Now then, Palisade, ZeldaMaster, Take it to PMs if you must. I don't want this back-and-forth in public.
