You could further enhance this idea by using side-scrolling Thwomps so you can make a level similar to the world 6 fortress in SMB3...but don't make it excessively large and have 10 stars in it this time. Side-scrolling Thwomps work well in frozen castles like the world 6 fortress.
And as this is a frozen level, add Frozen references all over!

How can you create gimmick "accidentally"?

Link. Thanks to him, we can make Zelda, Metroid, Mega Man, Castlvania, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ninja Gained, Yoshi, etc games.

No movie references and you know I am a ice user who calls himself a cryomaniac! I neve seen a side ways twomp before, and if it places high enough, I use only three stars and put it on my episode! [which thanks to you, has 8.999 more stars in it!]

There were also those gimmicks in NGCA that involved Link in Temple of Despair. In that level there was a section in which you had to use Shadow Link to go through walls without using shadowstar. Oh, and Bomb Peach as well - that allows objects to be blown up and destroyed without needing a bomb generator.

Damn, that gimmick rarely ever gets used...
Mine would have to do with Firebars. You can do so much with them, or at least once they are customized. You can make a Ball n' Chain, the Circling Boo Buddies, rotating platforms. Then there's attaching a bit of arsenal like Bill Blasters for a bit of random fire-power. Yes, I like Firebars...

Actually you can attach any blocks to every NPC that moves to modify the properties of the blocks. That shows how much you can do in SMBX, even though that gimmick of attaching blocks to rare NPCs is rarely used.

Ah yes, I remember when you had that block with a bunch of rain attached to it. If there was an award for the most ingenious level designer, it would have to be you, because of how many new gimmicks you try to pile into your levels. However, they always fall short because your levels are way too big and/or the gimmicks aren't even apparent or not explained. As in, with the shells in your CC7 level, you didn't know you were meant to build yourself an ice bridge unless a sign was placed there to specify, as well as placing an Ice Flower generator next to those shells.

In my cc7 level, let me explain:
A. It is sleet, not rain. Sleet is practically frozzen rain, but when I was out in it in Colorado, it left cut marks on my legs, so I know the pain. I tried to use that idea of the sleet being harmfull. Since it is the se as frozzen water and all. The idea I the switch to get through it was really meaning to "stop time so the sleet would not fall, and logically, you would not get hurt.
B. I should of have been clear in the citadel part of the level that you do not "die" by falling inside exsept in two parts.
C. The ice bridge with a fire flower lock at the end, the piropus of that was to know if the player knows how to combine two items of opposite natures. In the level, I provided both. The ice bridge does lag however. Lot of npc's on screen.
D. For the long levels, that is one of my staples as in massively long levels tend to be malisious to the player, and I am one of the few who love ice physics, so I have no issue with frezzeing the level! I know how to work with ice physicis. Part of the reason I think I scred so low is the my tripple heck-point messed up as well.
In general, I might have won it if my level was glitch proofed, but thnks for the complement. You may see more design things like that in cc11, but I have to request a few frozzen graphics first!

Nope, hail is frozen rain. Sleet is a mix of the two. Also you should have indicated in the level it was sleet because you used ordinary rain graphics.

Wow, you forgot the "B", "C", and "D" points, but I mean ask a certain time user if s/he can make a few ice graphics or tile set I can use to try to aim for second place! In CC10, I will not say my level theme, but I do use a few gimmicks from cc7 and cc8 combined, but shorter and maybe easier? world 4 in my episode and all of my other contest levels have been pending levels for my world six! Which is why "Lemmy" was the boss every time! Does that explain it?
Also, the double check-point is a nice gimmick I pulled off in cc7

I've always had a thing for the platform lines and grinders. You can pull off a variety of tricks using all of these.
