The new "2.0" version of the program right?

Hm... good question...is that a new install or do I just update the one I already have. As I understand the newer updates you had contained some bugs and you decided to rewrite it.

Check what version you have; if you have the old one there's the little arrow to expand and show the "debug info" and it has the version there.
This one here is up to about 2.0.2.0. If you're running a 1.x.x.x you will sadly need to uninstall (all worlds will be kept don't worry) and install the new one from the link on the first post.

What a derp of me, I supposedly read the first post. I did have 1.x and just recently downloaded 2.0.2.0 and it works, no problems with the installer, or the app, runs fine...

Hi guys, I'd just like to announce a new feedback form on the main website where you can go to submit feedback on either the program, website, or forums.
Where it asks for your name, I'd recommend just putting in a common/forum username. You do NOT have to be a member of our forums. The reason I ask for an email is for reply purposes. If you DO NOT want me to reply to you based on your feedback, just let me know in the main comments section
Enjoy,
Mike

I actually have the same problem as Quill. I download the Launcher, and when I launch it, it freezes. I already have the NET Framework 4 thing installed.
I have a Windows 7 laptop. (Acer Aspire 7736ZG) I just hope I can solve this problem quickly, so I can have more fun with SMBX.

are you sure to add more episodes? it's not bad to have extra ones.

ok lets be alittle less vague here on that error.
Here it is play by play (Willing to upload youtube video upon request)
1. I downloaded the setup file
2. I made sure I ran it 'as an administrator' since windows vista on up gets stupid if you don't.
3. I clicked next.
4. The dialog box's height appears to lengthen downward revealing and white box, most likely ment to show progress.
5. It then does absolutely nothing... if you click anywwhere on the dialog box it turns the box white and windows asks you to force close it.
My opinion it's getting stuck in a loop of some kind. If the dialog was suppose to roll out the progress text box like an eye candy thing... I wouldn't do that.
Eye candy really isn't important on setup programs... what buys (yes buys, in this case your trying to buy the user's interest) is the program.
Anyway if it's not eyecandy you might want to check over your code for the installer, there may be some tweaking to be done like a for loop getting stuck or something.
BTW the installer for the first version, which looked generic but functional, worked great but don't give up on making a custom installer. Kudos for making your own installer!
Good luck and you episode manager (1.3) is great.
PS: Airship Wars is still corrupt, I when to the manual address and tried to download it and still got an corrupt zip file.
Reason for Edit: Grammar mistakes.

Yes we're always looking to expand the library of episodes available.

Do you run a 64 bit operating system? I run 64 bit so I'm unable to test how it works on a 32 bit system. But you're gonna wanna make sure you have .NET 3.5 (or 2.0) or 4.0 with ALL the updates installed. Make sure everything is up to date. I've tested this installer thoroughly on Windows 7 (they only OS I have) and it's worked perfectly. Try running it from the desktop. The installer does download a couple DLL files to help it do a couple things. Try and get me as much information as you possibly can on errors and stuff
In the meantime, I'll work on reuploading Airship Attack. Thank you for the praises btw

I'm going to look into your laptop specs and see if you're running a 64 bit or 32 bit OS by default. I might've compiled something wrong for 32-bit.

Luigi,
okay here is an error that occurs if you re run the install after closing it.
Can't give screenshot so here is the entire error:
Title: Microsoft .NET Framework
Description: Unhandled execption has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.
Could not complete operation since a file already exists in the path
'C:\Users\Michael\DesktopInterop.shell.dll'.
Notice the red text? The file name of the dll the setup wants is called "DesktopInterop.shell.dll!" Thats not a proper name for a dll, is it?
Also the exception can be avoided with a conditional statement to check to see if the file exists. If it does... skip download... if it doesn't download it. I could give you the code for that but I can't program in .net
Note the strikethrough text is not important and only pertains to where the file was ran.
Hope this helps and remember the last \ symbol in the file path otherwise the file will not go where it is intended.
Currently if I run the installer from my desktop all the dlls are placed in my profile directory with the words downloads and desktop infront of the dll filenames.
Are you putting the file path in a variable? If not put it in string variables. One for each filepath.
Then use this to point it correctly. Like this:
strfilepath = strfilepath + "\"
If you do that, you will turn the file path:
C:\Users\Michael\DesktopInterop.shell.dll
into
C:\Users\Michael\Desktop\Interop.shell.dll
(strfilepath + "\" + dllfilename)
Get it.
Or here is a thought.
How about you place the setup in a zip with the nessasary dlls in it then program the installer to look for those dll in the same directory as setup, so the user just needs to extract the whole zip and run the setup with no worries of improper dll downloads, naming, or placement!

The weird thing is that I fixed that before...I know what to do it's just that I can't do it right now. I'll attach a zip with the latest version when I get home. And there is a conditional statement or a try catch I can't remember what i did off the top of my head
EDIT: Check the screenshot. This is the main code of the program for it downloads the file. I also checked the removal/access and it says basically the same thing. You might be on an outdated version.

ok... I guess the installer isn't compatible with windows 8.1.
Because there is no change.... the website download through the old error and the dropbox version extracts the dlls correctly but still crashes.
I don't need another copy smbx myself, is there anyway you could release the smbx world manager+downloader in a seperate downloader like the one you used before?
The reason I ask is... I like the program but I can seem to install it because of the installer you created isn't quite working like it should in window 8.1.
Just until the problem can be ironed out.

Okay this is very weird..and as I have 0 plans on upgrading to 8 or 8.1 I guess there's not much we can do about it. Everything seems to work just fine on Windows 7. I'm going to edit the download page on the site to include a backup zip file. In the meantime, here's the zip for 2.0.3.0

read your pm luigi! I found a work around which may fix Quill's and anyone else who runs the installer and it just hangs up!
Edit: Nevermind! I sent you a pm about a zip I made... yes I kinda went into the source and downloaded the file manually and zipped them... and you did the same.
Guess great minds think alike.

I get microsoft .NET framework and it says error 403 and when i click on details and go to the bottom it says.
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
what do I do?
