This screenshot is actually real! I've got:
  • -Working coin, life, star, and time counters
    -Working heart system
    -Technically working energy (though I haven't programmed anything to cost energy yet)
    -Colors change depending on character
    -Decorative inventory boxes
    -If there are two players we get an energy bar, heart, and inventory for them too
Now it's slightly possible that you are thinking "man, I wanna use that in my project!" Well you'll be able to, because I'm making an API for this HUD that you can freely use in your own levels - and it's very customizable!

I can say that he HUD looks amazing.
And the power reminds me of rocket boots from Terraria.

I'm breaking the 8-bit color rules, but I don't really care that much because it looks cool. Should I recolor the playables and HUD for this level?

Also, I decided to ditch the "you can only use two characters in a level" mechanic. I'm planning on adding areas that require certain characters though, because that way I can require the player to use all characters at least once to 100% the game.

Yeah, if you plan to make an 8-bit level 8-bit graphics are to follow as well. I say you re-style the HUD to fit the level better.

The level looks good, but the mushroom has a glitchy mask.

Fixed the masks on the mushrooms and working on recoloring the playables & HUD. Thanks for the input!

I also made a little userbar. If you like this project and want to support it put this in your signature - it only takes up a little space!

I slightly tweaked the logo so it now includes Doshi and Clowser. There's also a cameo by another OC that I didn't make up, I wonder what role she'll play?

It's a really nice project ... Yeah, it's interesting.
The level design sounds good and well done.
I've just seen the list of the level/worlds, just 3 words: GOOD INVETIVE NAMING!
Yeah, they're so intriguing! Really good job.
Also, I liked the more ones of levels' style, it remembers me "the invasion 2". (metroid, minecraft, smb1 ect..)
I'll find to stay update about this!

Uncle Broadsword is a guy. Same goes for Link, while we're at it.

I work pretty slowly. But I haven't cancelled it and I have no plans to.

I'm wondering which would work better: Open betas or having actual beta-testers. I'll make a poll about it in a sec...

Nahh.. Open betas and i have plans!

Plan 1. Add homming bullet bills

Plan 2. In every level like show in what world you are like this:

WORLD
1 - 1

These are some of plans i hope i helped :).
