Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is 75% off.

I like adventure and action RPGing. I like Skyrim and Oblivion, though I'm not a fan of Fable. For reference, I like Dark Souls more than any of those things, but I am open to new experiences.
Is this game worth temporarily swallowing my hatred of EA for?

Some friends of mine said no, but I think it's more personal preference since said friends play FPS games all the time.

It also has a demo, so you an check it out there I guess.

You could also just read the reviews and see what other people think of the game...unless they are all negative just because of EA.

The game is like skyrim/oblivion with more MMOish quest design. Lots of fetch quests/generic kill x quests. Combat is more comparable to Fable than Elder Scrolls or Dark Souls. Asides from that the world's fun to explore and it's quite large. I enjoyed what I played of it, and there's probably worse things to spend 5$ on. On the other hand, better things will likely go on sale later that are more deserving of money.

I think the demo gives you like an hour or so to explore the open world after the tutorial, so that'd probably give you a good idea to see if you like the combat and other mechanics.

blue team has won tonight and those free games are going to be mine. GG
The sale's been a piece of shit for me, but it's probably because I already own most of what's on sale.

ya, I don't even know what I want. I have pretty much everything I want by now from previous sales, so I haven't bought anything yet.

Bought a couple of things on Steam:

The Blackwell Bundle - I have always loved the point-and-click adventure genre. The bundle contained 4 games and it only cost me £1.49! :D

World of Goo - At just 69p I HAD to buy this! :D
