Wow I've really been inactive in this thread.

I can sort of see where you're coming from Enjl. I personally think it's fine, although PROX has set his sight on fixing it.

Custom Bosses
Yes and no. The episode is going to have custom bosses, not that specifically.

In hindsight I could've posted more screenshots, but I didn't want to reveal too much before the demo.

We are going to need some more coders to join the team. It would definitely speed things up a lot and there would be more collaborative ideas.

Hey! So it's been quite a while since we made any sort of update on this thread! Firstly, I'd like to announce that the first two worlds are nearing completion as far as levels are concerned! I still have to tweak some graphics on some of them here and there, but so far, we've made some great progress.

First things first! We've made some new levels and touched up some older ones!

First off is Subterrane Stronghold (Formerly Mole King's Underground Fort): We made some drastic changes to the level. First, we completely reworked the second section which was originally kind of pointless. Second, we made a complete graphical overhaul to it though the background remains the same as of now and will change eventually. Third, we completely reworked the boss, so needless to say that this will by no means be the same boss that you have already faced before in my released version of that level.

I will not showcase the boss since I prefer to leave that in your imaginations as of now, but here is some progress on the level itself. I might make a couple more adjustments since some parts could definitely still be improved, but this is what we have so far:

Finally, the last update is 2-4 Cheesy Desert: Spikes dwell in this area because of the excessive amounts of cheese. Despite having as many resources as they do, they're very greedy and refuse to share with outsiders, especially plumbers with red hats. This level is a work in progress, though it is nearing completion. Background is a placeholder at the moment and will be completely different eventually.

As far as level design is concerned, we have basically all of the levels done for worlds 1 and 2, we just need to include cutscenes, finish up some bosses, make some more sprites for the story and whatnot. We have other plans and features we want to include, so those will have to be implemented as well. We're making good progress and will hopefully have a demo out relatively soon. I don't know when exactly it will happen, but it will definitely happen. There's a lot more that we've done that hasn't been shown in this update, but I'd rather not divulge all the information until the demo is released and people can play it for themselves. That is all for now!

It was still being worked on even though we were both banned.

In any case: Here are some updates to the progress. I have a couple of new things to share.

Starting off is 4-4 which is very reminiscent of the Boss Bass level in SMB3, but designed better. There is even an underwater section in that level. We're also implementing custom swimming physics. We needed to disable them because they were screwing with momentum when it came to jumping gravity when certain switches got hit, or when spike balls collided with walls. We're still looking into what the cause is for that.

Next is 3-5 which is a dark, overgrown cave filled with rotten mushrooms! They are out for your blood!
This level is still WIP design-wise, but it's very close to being finished. I am also still in the process of drawing the background and it will eventually be a parallax background

Eventually once we successfully diagnose the issue. It's essentially done, it's just that one bug.
