I may have poorly described what cave and sand area specifically:
Spoiler: show

The pipes in this cave and the blocks in this sand area. Even then, the minimal clash present in all of the episode's screenshots don't bother me, and most work well. A few had pointed out clash, so I'd thought I'd do the same. Still, these are pretty minimal and I wouldn't care too much if these were left in. What I mean't to say in my original post was that these 2 areas of clashed could be easily fixed, as the inconsistency of graphics here seem pointless, doesn't add any to the aesthetics, and could be easily remedied. Overall, I love this episode's aesthetics.

Yeah but who actually cares about clash

Edit: Complaining about silly graphic mismatches isn't something that rational people do. Instead we should all focus on complaining about actually bad level design

That's a little insulting to say rational people don't care about clash. As I said in my post before, the clash doesn't bug me that much, and you have mixed different graphics pretty well. Only a few times did it not work well, but, overall, you did a great job. I'll also try and play through some more of your episode and give a sort of review over your level design.

Enjl already backed you up in his posts and there has been some "Enlightement" going on about clash in the recent time

Here's a few progress screenshots for world 5.

5-1, Mount Munitions

5-2, Deep Exploration

Also what is probably going to be the first level of world 8.

As far as gameplay goes this looks pretty decent, but there's some weird style mixing, the SMB3 airship pieces clash with the SMB1 blocks and SMW switches

How come we have returned to our old, wrong and out of date definition of clash?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but clash literally doesn't matter

Hello! This project has been sitting in "screenshots only" mode for far too long. Here's a playable demo:

Mario's Big Journey
0.1 - WORLD 4 DEMO

Play with SMBX2 MAGLX3 build.

Finished levels for the entirety of the first 4 worlds. Contains 46 exits and 40 stars/medals.

Also contains some unfinished level files for worlds 5, 8, and 9, but those aren't actually inserted into the overworld, so player discretion advised.

Please give your opinion on how each level plays, if there's anything catastrophically wrong, or if you're having a difficult time. Thanks!

The MaGLX3 build said to not release episodes in that build, it said to wait for Beta 4 to release episodes.

Added in 1 minute 28 seconds:
Though I doubt people will be a fan of the choice of site for hosting the download to the demo.

It's been quite a while, but development has not stopped. Here's some funky screenshots from world 6 to prove it.
