absolutely. those games are actually a really fun way to learn instead of reading a boring old book. marios time machine is pretty fun and helped spark an interest in history for me. it also was the first game to go in depth about timeloops which is always interesting. mario is missing helped me learn my geography, which i really used to struggle with. it also gives luigi a spotlight which is always nice, he is a very unique and interesting character. i never played much of mario teaches typing but i am sure it is a fun way to learn a useful skill, with the bonus of it having the characters the littler kids love.

super mario world teaches nothing of value and only ruined the story the previous games had built up, and it was very hard for nintendo to write themselves out of it.

i dont know why me not liking a game makes it okay for you to attack my character

i dont like super mario world for many reasons. here is a big list why:
1. the art style - too cartoony and looks pretty bad honestly. much better stuff can be done with the super nintendo, it almost looks like an nes game.
2. the sound design - some of the music is good, but most of the sound effects are loud and annoying. especially the death sound, its just bad.
3. the world - every place on the map feels the same aside from a few key places. in mario 3, every world felt very different. there was the standard grass land, the great desert, the great flooded plains of the everglades, the ancient prehistoric world with towering enemeis, the heavenly clouds of sovngarde, the frozen sheets of ice in skyrim, the puzzling pipe land, and finally bowsers dark realm of the underworld. mario world has the starting island (grassland), donut plains (grassland), vanilla dome (cave levels which are in the grassland worlds), the bridges (athletic levels which also appear in grasslands), the forest (grassland with trees), chocolate island (brown grassland), and bowsers world (not hellish, just more caves).
4. the bosses - the bosses are not as fun, most of the gimmicks are really bad and make for tedious gameplay instead of fun
5. the powerups - instead of having a multitude of fun powerups like 3, we get the fire flower (par for the course), the cape feather (worse version of raccoon tail), and the occasional balloon (absolutely useless). two words: BORING.
6. where is toad? he is one of the best characters and they just chose to leave him out.
7. why did the controls get worse? they seem much less precise than mario 3.
8. the backtracking to get the secret levels isnt very fun, just like a lot of stuff in this game just tedious.
9. what happened to the fun minigames? a remix of the old school mario bros, the picture slide game, and the memory game were all great enhancements to mario 3 that mario world completely forgot. we couldve had a lot more.
10. the ending - why didnt they continue the "princess is in another castle" running joke?
