It's regular wikitext editing, but the editor is different than Wikia's.

One thing to do is add "subst:" before the template name like "{{subst:Forum User" and then save the page to edit without reloading the template input every time so you delete the text. Did that for you just now.

Just so it's clear to everyone: do not write in the first person. Don't refer to yourself in the first person with terms like "I", "my" or "me". Also, keep things professional. Any laymen speak, slang and lingo should be avoided. Also, when you're editing it would be recommended that you use a browser with a spell checker and use Grammarly to help with common grammar mistakes. Furthermore, when you are writing do not use "you" to refer to the reader; use "one" to make the sentence formal.

BAD: You wouldnt expekt it, but I'm fuckin' bad at writing lololol.
GOOD: One should write clearly, precisely, and correctly to participate on the SMBX Wiki.
