Great, where can I get a copy of the source code?
I already showed you. It's in the download, and accessible on public github repos.

The source code for the LunaLua extension framework is available in a public GitHub repository.
The source code for the PGE project, used (mostly for its editor right now) by SMBX2, is also available in a public GitHub repository.

The source code for all libraries and (added) content in a given released (in accordance with the Cathedral model of open-source) SMBX2 edition, being written in Lua (an interpreted language), can be found in the LuaScriptsLib folder of any given copy of SMBX2.

We don't have the source code for the SMBX 1.3 binary we extend, and being just a member of the team I can't say this with certainty, but I'm pretty sure we'd share it if we had it.
Our work on that front is a matter of reverse-engineering and messing with a (decently-researched) black box.

All that said, there is exactly one closed source file in the SMBX2 code, which was made that way for security purposes. It's a tiny obfuscation library that the next version will be deprecating called "encrypt.dll". It's only kept closed source so people can't extract the decryption key easily. Anyone who actually wanted the source need only ask and I'll provide it.

Speaking of encrypt.dll being depricated, what is it replaced with,or is it replaced with the new save file system of Beta 4?

The latter. It's just being replaced with the new save system.

Which doesn't encrypt. Which is good.

There's the potential to re-add encryption support at a later date, but we're not worrying about it for now.

Unless the post has been deleted, I'm pretty sure Horikawa never posted in this topic. The quote was intended to give them a notification to draw their attention to the topic.

There was no post.
Horikawa is just a myth fabricated by SMW Central to get more people to watch Twin Peaks.
These are not the droids you are looking for.

What if we don't have a heart?
That means the post doesn't exist.
And it really doesn't.

Well, it still exists in my heart, at least. You can't take that away from me.

I won't let you.

I need it to live.

Probably.
