I don't know if you own a Vista at this current time, but it's pretty shitty compared to XP.

The way you said that makes it seem that the only reason Vista is safer is because XP is no longer supported. But yeah, the Vista hate is very exaggerated but there is some truth behind it. It really comes down to what your browsing habits are that determine the security of your computer. I use Common Senseā„¢ mostly to protect my XP, Vista, and 7 computers.

I never implied that. I said it is safer compared to XP, an OS that is no longer supported.

I knew what you meant, but the way you phrased it made it sound is if that was what you implied. :p

I feel like it really is those companies who still use XP's problem in terms of Microsoft supporting it. They should've upgraded to a newer OS version years ago.

I have a Windows 8 PC from November 2013, just in time. I miss Windows XP, it was my first OS when I was born.

I remember using XP. Those were good times. Now I'm stuck with Win 8, which is not that bad. Bypassed Metro so it's basically Win7.

8.1 pretty much makes it a flattened Windows 7. Some of the metro apps are cool like the music player and MetroRadio (use it for Pandora) and the snapping is quite cool also.

I have yet to update to 8.1. The action got halted after I had to reformat my laptop because it wouldn't boot. So now I have to go through all the updates (100-ish) to get 8.1. Also, I was having fun earlier toying around with Windows XP in a Virtual Machine. Felt nice to see that good ol' 2006 start up screen.

I just moved my table and it sounded like the Default Beep from Windows XP, which made me think alot of times I had with XP. I still have the PC, however I have to upgrade it to Windows 7 before Heartbleed attacks.

You realize that Heartbleed is only an issue for servers that use OpenSSL, right? Your PC is not in danger.

So, I'm not the only one who had that issue.

I had that issue too so I just put 8.1 on a flash drive and installed it like that.
