As soon as beta 4 of 2.0 comes out, I'll have to say both 2.0 beta 3 and 2.0 beta 4. Actually, 1.4 as well

SMBX2, even my siblings prefer it.

2.0. I hardly ever tried 1.4 and beta 4 release = 1.4 is obsolete.

SMBX 1.4.4 have more "Mario" things (Plataforms and mainly NPC's) and have a strange engine.
SMBX2 will be more innovative, there will be more things, will have PGE and will be true continuation of 1.3

When beta 4 comes, 1.4 will be pretty much obsolete, as KoE said.

Sorry 38A, but you failed to keep up with time. 2.0 will remain the superior version right up to the heat death of the universe, and maybe a Boltzmann Brain will revive it after heat death.

WHAT the fuck is a Boltzmann Brain? Either way, I agree.

I think in my own opinion, the debate of which version of Super Mario Bros. X is superior is tearing this community apart!

Well saying 1.4 is better after 2.0 beta 4 basically will imply you have like no brain cells

The thing is though, as has been stated a lot of times, as soon as version 2.0 goes into its next beta it's going to pretty much outclass 1.4.x. It'll be even more striking when it fully releases because a lot of the bugs that were in the beta releases will be fixed and there'll probably be more functionality. By then the community will have probably settled and there won't be any version conflicts.

I know this shouldn't reflect on the game itself, but in the SMBX 1.4 patch notes the developer comes off as really elitist. He even has "donation points" for helping contribute to the game. My thought is, who awards points to their friends? Valtteri, Kley, etc. didn't need to have their merits counted to help. He also says that since people act stupid with bug reports, he doesn't mind hurting their feelings. o_O

Yeah. Saying 1.4 is better than 2.0 is like saying the Wii U is better than the Switch. Once beta 4 is released we can just ignore those who say 1.4 is better, and even more so when beta 5, 6 etc and the full version comes out.

Speaking of beta 4, lately I've been seeing lots of clamoring for beta 4 from various users. Is it's release really on the horizon this soon?
