Definitely not recommended to use anything earlier than Windows 7 for SMBX (and almost anything else).

Clearly you need to use a modern OS like Windows 10 to run SMBX. Why use Windows 7 or the ugly Windows 8 when you can install 10, the latest version? You don't need a monster PC to run Windows 10. I would like someday install SMBX 2.0 with a friend on my PC. The operating system of this PC is Windows 10.
