Another thing that I'll update the first post to say: be sure to save your levels after submitting screenshots of them! I may ask for revisions, and we'll also need to account for background wrapping later on if your screenshot is accepted.

Yeah, let's go for it. And by the way, do Zelda temples fall under the Fortress category, or are they banned? And can you use levels that you've already created?

Does it matter if it's not technically a screenshot? Like, as long as everything shown is actually possible in the engine?

Also, is the picture supposed to be "busy"? Will submissions be rejected for having negative space? (Asking mainly because the example screenshot happens to have most of the space filled.)

Wait, why do they have to wrap if it's just a screenshot?

This may be a stupid question but:

Would it be OK if our screenshots are like a couple of pixels off the requirements?

PS: PGE is needed to take a screenshot of the required dimensions, since the 30 by 15 blocks equivalent is true for PGE also, and the legacy editor only goes 25 across.

I think I know the reason why it needs to wrap.
Maybe, Joey will put a single picture side by side until it reached the page limit.

Laboratory version now also has ability to configure "fixed initial size of capturer - yellow rectangle which tells which part of workspace need to export". I.e. by default it fits into viewport, but you can set fixed initial size (then move and resize if needed). That in Tools -> Application settings -> Editor

It has to be 960x480. You can use PGE to take the screenshots or just take multiple and then edit them together.

Yes and yes, Zelda temples are fine and you can use levels you've already created.

What do you mean by "not technically a screenshot"? Like, just placing all of the blocks and stuff together by hand in an image editor?

The screenshot is supposed to have a fair amount going on but not be really busy. If your submission is accepted but it's too busy or not busy enough, it can just be sent back for revision.

Ran this through PNGGauntlet. Didn't notice any compression artifacts so here's my sub for today.

The blocks on the top don't wrap horizontally

Yeah. I can always import it into the editor if that's necessary but I just assumed it wasn't at first.

If it even matters at all, the only reason I would do it that way is that in my case, I've more experience in them, and I know the tools and can use them efficiently. If anything the legacy editor is more "by hand" for me because of its cursor reliance and I haven't yet adjusted to PGE (I'm getting there, just haven't been bothered yet). There are a myriad of other reasons I chose to just go back and forth between an image editor and the legacy editor for whatever worked best, but either way I assume this is more of a visual project than having so much do to with level design.

In latest laboratory this "adjusting" will be a lot easier (feature I implemented by Enjl's suggestion):

Just in the "Tools -> Application settings" setup capturer to have a fixed initial size:

and then on F12 you will get a rectangle of required size: just align it at necessary place, then accept screenshot taking
