I'm just looking at the median age of people voting to leave. 65+ is where it gets most favourable for leaving, but the median age of that is 73. People born during the latter half of WWII are likely not to have fought in it.
And yeah, people may be blaming the older generation but even among the generation splits it's not like the votes were unanimous.
Actually this whole thing wasn't even close a unanimous decision. Not that that's how democracy works, and I don't know if I'd be able to pull off a better solution than to just go with the majority vote, but it's noteworthy.
