Game from my viewpoint:
Night 1 - I just watched as 8flight made himself look really suspicious by pointing fingers at everyone and literally trying to figure out everyone this early in the game. He's also one of those players who looks at View Online frequently to get some more info on people. However, where he made a mistake with this was that when you use View Online and try to use it against someone, you must make sure that the person is already suspicious. The person could be PMing really anyone, and of course, I'm a mod, so it's a valid defense I was apprehending someone. I actually looked to see if anyone broke any rules within that
exact timeframe, but no dice. So I had to forge a PM of me asking AeroMatter for a link to his Discord server. I was a little nervous this wouldn't work, but it did in the end.
Anyways, TNT evidently claimed Gambler to Marina for whatever reason. It pretty much screwed him, as he was a third party and won if he was the last one standing, so he was definitely an enemy. We ended up deciding to kill TNT that night. Seriously though, TNT, why did you claim to Marina? You were a third party, you were allied with no one.
Oh one more thing, I used my voodoo powers on Jacob with the word "fucking" since he swears a lot (no offense man but you gotta admit I found a weakness and used it against you).
Day 1 - 8flight continued to point fingers, said the Sheriff should claim, and he even said that the specials could claim to him, although 8flight wasn't confirmed to be anything, and it could've easily been a trap. Gotta be honest, even if I weren't Mafia, I still would've pushed a lynch against 8flight.
The most beneficial claim for the Town would've been the Vigilante (which did happen but I'll get to that later). 8flight
did suggest this earlier, but for some reason tried to get the Sheriff to claim. I knew this would've been stupid of the Town, but it's not like I was gonna contest it. After all, it'd be beneficial to us Mafia if we got the Sheriff's identity that early in the game. I know the Curist could've protected him, but there was the possibility Pseudo, the silencer, would've been upgraded to roleblocker. If we got the identity of the Curist, we could've roleblocked him and struck out the Sheriff. The Vigilante would be less problematic to die than the Sheriff, so 8flight definitely should've stuck to wanting the Vigilante to claim. Thankfully we did get rid of Ragont, the Sheriff, earlier on in the game, so that's good. If he'd have stayed alive longer, I'm sure both me and Igno would've been inspected since we were already suspected slightly. Anyways, 8flight then made a suspicion list, although suspicion lists were literally pointless that early in the game since we had nothing to work with besides 8flight being incredibly pushy.
Anyways I'm sure 8flight was incredibly suspicious to all, but I didn't want to be the one to start the vote. Thankfully Ragont did, so from there, all of us Mafiosi did and some Townspeople did as well, leading to 8flight to be lynched off. Jacob also used the word "fucking" during the day phase, leading to my voodoo killing him as well.
Night 2 - Spinda joins, in which got me a little more nervous considering he's a good player, but he was kinda inactive this game so he wasn't a threat. We were also able to figure out later on that Spinda wasn't a special. RudeGuy also joined, but he's always inactive, so he wasn't a threat either.
Joey claimed Vigilante, which was definitely a good move. People were a little skeptical at first, but everyone started to trust Joey later. Ragont was the main one to suspect that Joey wasn't who he seemed, and Ragont also actually somewhat proved he was a special when he said "then you're fucked" when Joey threatened to vigi him. Ragont then actually claimed he was a special saying if he dies, he'll cardflip blue. Nobody knew for sure he was a blue, but us Mafia did. However it was a stupid move on our part because I suppose we didn't pay enough attention to Ragont's claim, because we didn't target him that night. However, we did have another plan. We actually assumed Ragont could've been the Curist, so we planned this:
Zeldamaster12 wrote:As of 9:25 PM EST, no blues have PMd Joey. Ragont is pretty much confirmed as a blue (for us), same with Joey. We can already assume Nato, Fyrus, Spinda, Willhart, and qig are not blues since they've posted since Joey claimed and requested blues to contact him. That rules out a lot of people. This leaves the following...
Mettaton EX
TheLordKhon
HenryRichard
RudeGuy07
...as the other potential blues. We might just potentially be able to kill off the specials. As for our substitute kill, qig is not a blue. I believe we should kill Mettaton EX. He could be the Sheriff or the Weapon Master, assuming Joey is the Street Hero and Ragont is the Curist.
So thus we decided to target Mettaton and he ended up being a blue thankfully. We thought he might've been the Sheriff though. He turned out to be the Curist, but that still worked in our favor because the Curist was the only way that blues like Joey could've been protected. As for who I used my voodoo powers on, I used it on Joey with the word "counterclaim". Sadly, we didn't get him with it, but it was a good choice nonetheless.
Day 2 - Joey revealed that Mettaton was the Curist, and that he received a claim from the Sheriff. Ragont then tried to push a lynch against Igno for viewing his PMs and then the Mafia thread right after. Igno actually somehow had a logical defense, as evidently, Ragont and Nien had spammed him prior. Igno brought up that he was trying to get rid of all the notifications, so although Ragont was still suspicious of Igno, he laid off. Khon then came out of nowhere and decided to vote for Marina. Everyone else bandwagoned him so we had no choice but to do the same. Marina then died. He was the Mirror Man, so Igno inherited his ability.
Night 3 - Not much happened this night other than suspicions going around that Khon could've simply been a Mafioso that threw Marina under the bus. However, people quickly dismissed this possibility. We decided to kill Ragont since he was a confirmed special, and potentially the Sheriff since Mettaton was the Curist. I used my voodoo powers on Nato with the word "whatever". It's random, but we didn't really have anything else.
I do want to mention that something big did happen this phase and that was when Joey tried his reaction test on me. I initially panicked when he said I was inspected, as I thought I was busted. I was
so close of admitting to being the Voodoo Lady, but I decided to try to defend myself to see how far I could take it. After a while of discussing, Joey eventually revealed it was just a reaction test and that I didn't crack. However, he was suspicious when I said "elaborate" on how he said my word choice was odd instead of outright denying I was inspected. Joey did get me on this one, as in a way, I did crack. But I managed to have logic behind it, so I further argued my case and eventually, Joey claimed to have an understanding of what I was saying. I thought Joey might've still went for me that night, so Igno used his mirroring ability on me. If Joey targeted me, it would fire right back at him.
Day 3 - Joey randomly voted for Khon, which wasn't really the best decision considering how one, Khon was silenced, and two, the possibility Khon started a bus was incredibly low. Fyrus then questioned Joey's intent, and Igno came up with a good plan to potentially get Joey lynched. Igno brought up how shady Joey's plans were. However, no votes were casted against Joey yet, as there was too much of a risk, so Igno started a bandwagon on HenryRichard. However, HenryRichard showed up, leading to Pseudo to start a bandwagon to RudeGuy instead. I would've preferred to simply have gotten rid of HenryRichard, as trying to get him lynched kinda screwed me later on, but still, we got rid of another Town by starting a bandwagon. RudeGuy was then lynched.
Night 4 - Nothing much happened this night except Nato saying that the Vigilante should take a shot in the dark and risk going for a kill. I argued this and continued to argue it at the beginning of the Day phase, but Nato was silenced so the arguing was stopped. Gotta admit, we shouldn't have silenced Nato twice. We might've been able to push a lynch against him, but silencing him this time confirmed him as Town. I was gonna tell Nien to change the silencing but it was too late. This was definitely a mistake on our part. Anyways, we decided to kill qig that night, and I used my voodoo powers on Khon with the word "lynching".
Day 4 - This is where things got really intense. Khon started the day off with pulling out a log of Joey telling me Ragont inspected me, and he instantly voted for me (he never took this vote off either). Khon evidently wasn't aware that the log was simply a reaction test and the inspection never really happened. I then had no choice but to show that the inspection never happened, and that it was just a reaction test that Joey claimed he was going to try on other players. Of course he couldn't do this anymore since I revealed what he was doing, but I had no choice. I had to prove to Khon that the inspection never happened. In the midst of this, Igno tried to once again lynch off Joey, and he had logical grounds too. Anyways, votes were mixed between me, Joey, and one on Nato for some reason. Joey then put a safety on Willhart, so us Mafia decided to see if we could turn it into a bandwagon later on. Anyways, this phase was essentially all over the place. Votes were being cast on different people left and right, arguing over different people and different cases. Joey and Igno was one of the main arguments, although it didn't lead into anything big. We then decided to take our votes off of Willhart since it was just a safety since we were "trying to get the votes off Joey". I suggested Khon to be a lynch target, but quickly stopped pushing it as it was too risky. As a last resort, since I was a potential lynch target, I told Pseudo to start a bandwagon on HenryRichard. All of us Mafia voted for him, thinking we tied the votes and at least made it a knife-in-the-box. I
may have been able to survive in that case. However, turns out Khon was upgraded to Doublevoter, leading me to be lynched off regardless. Thankfully, my voodoo caused Khon to be taken down with me.
Night 5 - Nothing much happened other than discussion, but as Nien said, the night ended in a bloodbath. The Mafia decided to kill Willhart, and Igno mirrored himself because he knew Joey was probably going to vigi him... and he did. Joey vigi'd Igno, but with mirroring powers, he managed to take down Joey with him. This left only Pseudo. There was a chance we could've won, but it was very small and I doubted we'd win at that point, as Pseudo was the next suspect after Igno.
Day 5 - Town decided to lynch off Pseudo. Pseudo died, who was the last remaining Mafioso, so therefore we lost and the Town had won.
Overall, this game was great regardless if we lost. Activity was awesome, we had a lot of players, some who haven't played in a while who used to frequently play in the past, and this game was full of action. I loved every second of it, and I'm definitely looking forward to the next game. Maybe some of the players in this one will decide to stick around for the next!
