I think having a waterdrop and lightning bolt is really obvious so I don't get why you think it doesn't fit his powers.
And I like the 3D Glasses fine. The see through effect is cool.

If you want to convey that he possesses elemental powers, there's better ways to show it, either by being super cliché with a wizard's hat or adding sparks or something.
A character's name doesn't justify their design.
I'm not even complaining about your artistic talent because tbh, there isn't really too much about those OCs. I'm saying that the concepts are poorly executed. If a character has a certain ability, reflect it in his design so you can get somewhat of a grasp on the character by looking at it.
The colors are unnatural for the most part because they're quite bright for the most part. Once again, the Rex is one of the better examples, the green and yellow colors make sense for a reptile. However, a pink porcupine or a blue Pokey don't make sense. As I said, look at how the Paper Mario series (especially the first two) handle that: For the most part, the colors aren't too outlandish and make sense, see Goombella once again or Lady Bow: Her color fits for a ghost because it's pretty close to white, and her designs makes it clear that she is, well, a lady. Bombette is pink which is alright because she's made of metal and that can have almost every color, and she manages to look unique as well. Kooper is one of the more average characters, but his clothing is still somewhat normal. General Bobbery (I can't remember his name and I'm too lazy to look it up) looks like a captain because of his wind-up wheel for example, and Lakilester just screams cool. All of those somewhat convey their character by just their design.
I can't tell you how to improve the Hoopster if I don't know his specific character traits or powers.
Hoops is Has a friendly personailty And a few of his abilites are using power-ups, is quick, and another one is
also most of them can talk.
Also this is fictional not all color needs to make sense.
Your just pointlessly arguing.
I really don't know how i should respond.
Also A Purple Porcupine doesn't make sense either.
Neither does a pink ostrich.
This isn't real life. This is a game so stop saying "This color doesn't make sense!" Ok?

Did you know that hair colour for characters in anime and many japanese video games isn't chosen at random, but according to their personality? Therefore colours in fictional content do make sense. Argument eliminated.

The thing is that the purple in the SMB2 Spiny isn't actually that bright. It's rather dark, and doesn't clash so much with its surroundings.

Well, why is Ostro pink and Porcupos purple? Why did they make them this way in All Stars when on the NES they were black? Why is Wart's room red green and blue lego blocks? Not all colors mean something besides liking the color.

Spiny?
Aren't those Porcupines the SMB2 counterpart of Spinies?
Also, you gotta remember that Ostros and Porcupos are regular enemies, while your characters are, well, actual characters. You can't compare a generic enemy to a specific character.

I'm just saying that not all character's colors need to be realistic.
Now stop arguing with me.

but you shouldn't use random colors for the sake of using random colors
also the colors still clash with a few exceptions like the rex

Was that necessary?
Also I don't think the colors look nice either. Here is a pretty good guide on palettes.

The colours might look good on paper but don't work in the game whatsoever. Let me go through the characters one by one to show you what I mean:
The high contrast between Hiipster's glasses and his body don't work in favour of his design. I suggest making him a bit brighter, or darkening the glasses a bit.
The Yoshi actually works, though I'm not too fond of the low contrast.
The porcupine is too bright for 90% of environments and the shades of pink are too indistinguishable.
No comment on the Mario, all I see is a mess of colours.
Glow's eyes appear white when the player doesn't take a closer look. I didn't see the yellow until you pointed it out. I like the blue and cyan here, though.
You changed the Pokey, good. The one in the image looks terrible (also I'm not too fond of blue cacti but that's beside the point. Maybe has to do with his personality (as explained in my previous post)).
I'd add glow to the blob guy's eyes to make him look more menacing. You can also barely see the body, so more contrast is appreciated.
Why is the soccer rex SMB3 recoloured, but the yoshi is in SMW-esque colours? Apart from that, this one works.
I don't see the thunder pattern on the ostrich, and I'd refrain from trying to paste imagery on a mere 16x32 pixel sprite. The blue is also barely noticeable, or distinguishable as a drop.

First of all like i said before. I'm not going to change color because you don't like.
And second the Thunderbolt is on the other wing.
Also i made up my characters months ago, i'm not changing them now just because you don't like it.
Stop trying to force me to change my character's appearances completely everyone hates the colors and
says they are unpleasant please stop your upsetting me!

And where did you get that message!?

Should i make the pink on Rosy darker?
And Midnight is Only that dark because it was on a dark stage.
I don't want to make his eyes glow though.
Because all these characters are good none of them are Evil.

I don't see how sharing that was a problem. My main intent in sharing it was the salt in that message.

Also A note to LordYoshi999:
I would like you to use these characters as side characters in your project! But remember this:
Berry can't Talk.
Okay thanks, for the note about Berry, I have a good idea for her to have Striker with her as her talker I guess.
Thanks.
(what I meant is that striker can understand Berry when she tries to talk, because It's pretty much Rex Language.)

And the thing you said about why use someone elses OC's? Your kind of right. I just wanted to see what people said.
Also I plan to use most(If not all of them) in my Episode Toad's SMB Adventure.
Thing is: A Hoopster wearing 3D glasses is really hard to make sense of. Let's look at the Paper Mario series, because that's one of the few official games with enemies as NPCs. A lot of those NPCs wear either something that makes some sort of sense to wear normally (like hats and whatnot) or their design makes sense with their backstory (see: Goombella). I don't really see how you wanna justify 3D glasses on a Hoopster, as an example Goombella's design is explained by her being a history student, Parakarry's kinda makes him look like a pilot which is also fitting etc. If you look at a Hoopster with 3D glasses, it's hard to deduce anything from that. The best design is probably the Rex because it'd make sense if his character is football-centered, however, just having a recolored enemy is not creative, especially if the colors are so bright. Choose less subtle colors, like a more brown-ish Pokey, for example. Most of the current colors aren't really pleasant to look at and don't fit with their environments.
You should Stop being rude about this because. Your making me a little upset that your saying this about my characters. Most of the Accessories make sense though.
Striker is Sported-Based So the Blue Soccer Jersey fits.
Elemental Has the Powers of Water and Thunder So the Water-drop and Thunderbolt pattern make sense.
Midnight Has a Star on his forehead because of his name.
Rosy is Pink because of the name Rosy and i plan on drawing in a bow soon.
And I'm not changing the color of my characters. And it's not UNPLEASANT to look at!
How dare you say that! Not Everything has to be perfect! I like my characters the way they are! If their So
Unpleasant to look at why is no one else complaing!!??
It Pisses me off that everyone expects you to know how to draw graphics by heart!
Not Everyone is an artist!
And About Hoops's 3D Glasses. I think I should replace the 3D Glasses With a Watch or something.
That is goddamn nonsense, everyone can be an artist, you won't become if you don't put effort in it.
