It is interesting...
Forums for SMBX
https://www.smbxgame.com/forums/
The problem is the forums got and is still being flooded with new users, who are all SMBX design noobs, and who wanted to immediately design and submit levels to the community. That's why so many levels are crap.Sux wrote: smbx was an art, which was beautiful to play, was eager posted every level, now unfortunately it seems that the quality of community design fell astonishing way, shameful....
Not really true. There are new users who submit their first level and end up in 20-30. It's more how you use smbx, how much time you spent on the level, how you design it.mariogeek2 wrote:The problem is the forums got and is still being flooded with new users, who are all SMBX design noobs, and who wanted to immediately design and submit levels to the community. You are free to make an update to a contest level! You can also make a post game level! The teirs for "ToBC" are me ranking every level in order for a true winner! If you want a level to be optional, ask and with Valtteri's approval...Ness-Wednesday wrote:I don't get it.
If ToB 10 will be the finale of the series, then what would those last set of Tiers (ToB C) for?
Will there be a chance to post a level for Tob C or is it something different?
I am just curious about it.
EDIT: I would like to make a tier level for the ToB C please.
I promise it won't be bad as the the level I did in Tob 10.
I don't really agree with that. While it may be true that some new users are able to design good levels, the majority of new users are unfamiliar with the editor, and end up making average to bad levels. Just look at CC11 and how many of the tier 1,2, and 3 levels were by new users.Sinem wrote:Not really true. There are new users who submit their first level and end up in 20-30. Yes, this will be the last one in the series.mariogeek2 wrote:I don't really agree with that. Also, I've heard ToB 10 is going to be the last one. Is this true?
Speaking if my CC11 level, it was rushed due to a death in the faimly!Ness-Wednesday wrote:Yes, this will be the last one in the series.mariogeek2 wrote:I don't really agree with that. This will be made for a compliation of the series now that it will die soon.
I guess I was the very few newbies that got into Tier 2 but knew how to use the level editor.
Mine was rushed for a reason.
I fixed every flaw and gave it to Valtteri, however, the length and maziness part of it can not be fixed! The low jumps are not fixble due to the map... The "maxiness" is intentinal!RoundPiplup wrote:Oh, that does make sense to why it had some flaws that the judges went on.
True, but this would dethrone that with over 500 levels, so...Horikawa Otane wrote:That was dethroned with MaGL X2.Suckerman7 GM wrote:You're crazy, man. With this, your project will be the longest episode now. (It passed Airship Attack.)
Actually, I was willin to use LunaLua, and I even wanted to use your code, I will still gove you credits for even giving me the code. ...also, it is also not just "an archive of episodes ziped together! I plan on adding to it as well (with permission)!Horikawa Otane wrote:Only if you tied it together with Lua. You said you weren't willing to do that. Otherwise you're just zipping a bunch of episodes together into an archive.MECHDRAGON777 wrote:True, but this would dethrone that with over 500 levels, so...Horikawa Otane wrote:
