This is very sad news. I heard about it earlier today. May he rest in peace and God bless him, and I hope he is doing what he loves in the afterlife.

Amen!
As probably the biggest Nintendo fan on these forums, I'm so saddened by this that I can't even put it into words. Iwata brought joy, laughter and happiness to millions or maybe even billions of people everywhere. It's amazing how someone you've never even talked to or met could make such an impact on someone's life. Nintendo will never be the same without him. RIP, you brilliant man! If I were a good spriter, I'd make an image of a huge cast of Nintendo characters with Iwata standing in the middle and they're all doing the "Directly to you" thing.

R.I.P. Iwata. He was one of the most important people in the video game industry. I'm not a giga nintendo fan but it's still shocking for me.

Rest in peace, Satoru Iwata, a man who helped change the world's perception of video games forever. I hope that his love and passion for video games lives on through future efforts by Nintendo and their competitors.

I'm sure he had a lot more to live for, and I was really waiting to see it. A shame he had to leave way too early. He will be missed.

Are you insane, he can't even speak Siamese, let alone Chinese, that would be a worse disaster then the fail of the virtual boy.
I hope you joking bc this is kinda dumb and ignorant imo. Reggie is a cool guy.
Rip Iwata he was a damn good guy.

Mr. Iwata was a great man who lead his company to glory, even if others ragged on his accomplishments. He will be missed, but let us remember all the great things that he has done for the industry and gamers in general. Rest in peace, directly to you.
