To be honest, we don't know what's happened to the source code. Just because Joey set up this site and it bears resemblance to the original SMB.org it doesn't mean that he has it (he most likely doesn't). Redigit may have deleted it or could still have it but just refuse to distribute it. Also, 1.3.0.1 was just minor bug fixes and that was done by hacking the .exe using a hex editor rather than modifying the code directly.

The 2.0 dev team also doesn't need the source code to make 2.0.

1.3.0.1 only came with minor updates and tweaks compared to 1.3. Noone has the source code until this day.

Nobody has the source code except for Redigit. He considered distributing it but that hasn't happened yet.

I don't think Joey made 1.3.0.1. It was Redigit which that is when his project has gotten stopped. 2.0 is made by 2.0 team though. 1.4 is made by chinese user named "5438A38A".

Actually, Joey made 1.3.0.1. But what came in it were bug fixes that didn't require the source code

I didn't actually make 1.3.0.1. It was Valtteri with help from Darkchao.

the new sizables were simple graphic replacements.

Version 2.0 will most likely go onto the main page when it's finished. The reason 1.3.0.1 is still on the main page is because 2.0 isn't finished yet and it's still in beta. And it's not just a game being coded by another team, it's the next instalment in the SMBX franchise except being coded by a different set of developers.
