I really like the filler (or what called is it), the texture is really smooth. Also really like the shading ok the fence and the pillar. Good job :)

I was gonna save this for the 3rd WIP Graphics Showcase thread, but screw it! The most Cartoonish Super Mario Bros. X Monochrome graphics I ever made! (Grass Tileset with palette for Snow tiles):

But why is it monochrome? That just limits possible uses of it. Not to mention that your light source is inconsistent at best.

The top of the grass should be lighter not darker than the rest.

Let me tell you 3 things:
  • I chosen to make monochrome graphics because of my *Work in Progress* episode, Super Monochrome Land X! *Tbh, making 16-bit monochrome is easier for me than making full colored 16-bit. So cut me some slack.
  • Dude, it's my first time making official custom graphics for an SMBX episode, I know they suck. But I'm still learning. :roll:
  • I already changed the top of the grass to a lighter shade of gray the moment I read your comment. :P

Not a big fan of them. Their colours are very basic, the shading is overly simple and there are more outlines on the sprites themselves than there need to be. Contrast on the ladybug is especially bad.

Don't detail arbitrarily. Also look into colour theory and how to make more organic colours. These critters all look rather mechanic to me.
