Just looking at these screenies makes me go insane... so difficult. So anyway, are the past three screenshots we've seen from you all the same level? You haven't really explained.bossedit8 wrote:

Probably like 3 hours including slacking off. I've worked on bigger stuff in the past.Squishy Rex wrote:@Emral: I have absolutely no idea what that is going to be for, but it is incredible. I could only imagine how long it would have taken to make it.
I respect much people who do backgrounds, must have enormous patience and dedication to do this, congratulations Emral.Emral wrote:Probably like 3 hours including slacking off. That will coincide well with me and my Yoshi's island tileset ripping.h2643 wrote:Thanks, I'm fixing most of the Yoshi's Island backgrounds from New SMBX CGFX pack, which have 1x1 pixels (almost every) and making some custom ones too
Here's my thoughts on huge backgrounds like that: I can definitely notice a few things he did there, but to me, it's not about the shape of everything, but how much you decide to limit yourself in terms of colors. If you're looking to make a background in a style like SMW or SMB3, glhf with that because you can only use four or five colors per "object" to do it. What this here looks like, though, is something far beyond the scope of the average 16 bit palette--something that would fit on a DS judging by the many colors put into it. But anyway, in terms of actual spriting skills, it's definitely not impossible to do, so long as you don't limit yourself too severely on the colors you use.AirShip wrote:I respect much people who do backgrounds, must have enormous patience and dedication to do this, congratulations Emral.Emral wrote:*snip with epic background*
