GhostHawk, program this better than your GhostBot :3

i wish you luck with this, although if this comes out during the development of some episodes, maybe they should get.... Upgraded...?

I'm only a script kiddie when it comes to GhostBot.

Thanks, and by upgraded do you mean patches?

He means should episodes switch to this format in order to be played and such.

I think that's just extra work, and didn't GhostHawk already say he'll make a converter?

GhostHawk did say he'll make a converter.

Run the episode through the converter and it'll be good to go. That's what I meant in the first place Raster.

Boy you sure are kinda negative about this. First saying that Linux basically doesn't matter now saying that switching to the new format is extra work when GhostHawk did say he'd make a converter?

Well, almost everyone has a machine that runs Windows and getting this to work on Linux would require Mono, and I don't think that will work flawlessly. I wasn't sure about the converter so that's why I said that. :P

As long as he doesn't go insane with external libraries (eg, my episode manager will never work under Linux due to the forms not using WinForms) then this'll probably work fine under Mono. :P

GhostHawk did say he'll make a converter.
What do you mean by "converter"?

That's what I thought.

Regardless VSMBX will not be comptatible with SMBX's files but there will be converter to turn the SMBX files into VSMBX files? I'm cool with that, and after all, we need that too. :)

Yes.

I just noticed this, this is awesome indeed, I am glad to see that its in progress and so much is done. I am sure most all the whole smbx community is looking forward to this, I know you arent taking requests but I think multiple character slots of the same character would be a nice feature that way you could have several replacements at once for a level/episode without having to go through all the bull. Also a grappling hook would be awesome.

Anyways good work and good luck.

Why isn't this sticky?
Anyways, amazing work as always GhostHawk!
I have come to a point that, instead of saying "I hope GhostHawk can complete this...", I am saying "I can't wait for GhostHawk to complete this!".
Yup, that's right, I have no doubt in my mind that you will complete this.
Keep on being awesome as always!

The first time I've looked at this, I was like "Wow, there can be a more powerful SMBX!". Keep it up GhostHawk, I'm 100% sure it will be very good.

Actually, so sure I made a support bar:

I agree, this is an important project to the community in general. This should be sticky.

Wohlstand's editor should also probably be sticky in its forum for the same reason.

I'll sticky this when the first public version is released. As for Wohlstand's editor, if he requests his topic to be stickied I'll get right to it.

These aren't external utilities to SMBX and they're already quite popular so I see no point in stickying them.
