The majority of people who say that the Fairy type is broken or OP is because a lot of them are Dragon type users, and they love Dragon-type Pokemon. They're just a bit pissed at the fact that the Dragon type got nerfed. But the Dragon type is still statistically the best type even with the introduction of Fairy, and if you think about it, the Psychic type got the same treatment back in Gen II with the Dark type, so you could say that the Fairy type is essentially Gen VI's version of the Dark type - a type intended to nerf another OP type.

Oh, and Geomancy Xerneas might be a factor as well. People fear it waaayyyy too much that they think it'll be on every team they encounter, but the truth is that GeoXern is very rare and is countered easily by Pokemon such as Aegislash, a Mega Banette with Taunt, or a Crawdaunt with Knock Off.

That was spot-on Perfect! I am a Dragon-type user(WAY better than Lance!), but also Ghost/Dark as well. I love to use Salamence and Spiritomb(i got it from GTS in Japan! but i don't know what it says are means) and if i recall it was Gen I that allowed only the move Twineedle to poison steel type(20% chance(FR/LG according to Bulbapedia is Gen III-because of the Gen III new move set)) this is later nerfed in Gen II. Also in Gen I ghost type was "does affect misdreavus" but in Gen II it was later super effective!

Also speaking of Lance anyone got any strategies on facing Cynthia in B/W(and 2 if shes there too)?
I know that hers is like lv75-80
my pokemon(lv 50-80*) *= only Eeks(Rotom in the Fridge form) is at 80-Move set: Shadow Ball Electro Ball Blizzard Hex)

Not to mention that Steel is now the #1 most common type in competitive battling.
People have got to stop being such Dragon fanboys

Sorry, but DRAGON-type is better in stats, move-set, and overall awe-inspiring to have on your team!
the only disadvantage is that it takes a while to evolve
[sub]and the fact it has only 3 weakness itself, ice, and freaking fairy type now.....great![/sub]

Dragon type is one of the worst types IMO, way overused, easy to counter, and has generally bad movesets.

Outrage is generally the best Dragon move (also Persim Berry is a horrible confusion counter, just switch 'em out)

My favorite types are Electric and Fire

So does switching them out (with confusion), and the empty hold item space will be able to be utilized more than once.

Why use up a hold item for healing confusion once?

I like using Black Sludge on Gengar, then switching the items with Switcheroo (I'm pretty sure that's the move)

Black Sludge heals Poison-types and damages everything else when held.

As long as its not Poison/steel type thats a great idea!

I also like the strategy of Ability Rock head and use Double Edge!
