Misconceptions you used to have

What are some misconceptions you used to have, but you don't anymore?

I used to believe that Dora in one of her episodes (don't judge me, this was a long while ago) said a bad word, when she really didn't. I forgot the exact name of the episode, but I think it was the one with the blueberry hill or whatever. Same goes with an episode of Diego.

Yeah I used to have an unhealthy addiction to these kiddie cartoons when I was like 5-7 or whatever

When I first started playing video games, specifically Mario Party 4 when I was like 5 years old, I was convinced that Luigi and Yoshi had to be brothers because they were both green. I still knew that Mario and Luigi were brothers, but didn't think that Mario was Yoshi's brother.

I don't know why this sticks out to me.

I thought that the Pokémon anime inspired the Pokémon games and not vice versa.

I used to think Mario Vs. Donkey Kong: Mini Land Mayhem was the first game in the series, followed by March of the Minis (Since that game had a 2 in it's title). I didn't know the GBA MvsDK existed at that time.

When I was around 3-4 years old, I didn't know I could use items in Mario Kart DS. Instead, I thought I was supposed to get hit by the item I had to increase my overall speed. It didn't really matter anway because I never played anything but 50cc. A friend eventually told me that I was playing the game wrong and showed me how to use my items.

I was convinced that Waluigi was a playable character in SM64 DS

Especially because a friend tricked me several times about how to get him

I used to think that the HSMBXC group was some sort of special forum where all the admins/mods/game masters go and chat and stuff.

Luckily I now know that they had very bad intentions.

I used to think Mario's mustache was his mouth. I still get that idea sometimes, particularly with his small SMB3 sprites.

Bump time!

I recently went to my social skills Halloween party today, and we were playing Charades, I act out as Arthur from the popular Capcom game, Ghouls 'n' Ghost. And my friend Drew said I'm acting like a leprechaun on meth.

This next one sure wasn't funny at the time, but it gives me a bit of a laugh when I recall it.

I was playing a Wii Party, and I got upset after losing to this guy. I got so upset that I accidentally threw my Wiimote at the TV, and you can probably guess what happens next.
