Still not impossible.
I'd still think it's probably the Anti-Rioters or if he was negotiated every fraction could be possible. I wouldn't think too much about him, he could be about every fraction.
I still have this plan on strategically killing one of the rivaling fractions so the other one can support us. What do ya think about it?

I suggest you guys read up on the powers of the Negotiator. Only one person was painted by the Negotiator that is dead. Since it is the second night (or was), there is a second painted person, but they're probably still alive.

Also, Nickname, going back on it, I'm a little curious as to why you'd want to kill a Rioter or Anti-Rioter, because if they're on the town's side, they are a big help to you even if both are warring factions. What are your thoughts on that?

"Strategically killing" is also suspicious in itself but I won't question that. Both of the rivaling factions are actually helpful to us up until they kill themselves. We don't need to kill one to have the other support us, it's just that the Rioters and Anti-Rioters have to be careful with who they choose to kill else they will reveal themselves to the opposing faction.

Right now they can only help us by lynching, but if we kill one full fraction the other one can help us more effectively.
To me this sounds like it would work out but I might be overseeing something.

(The word you're looking for is faction, not fraction. A fraction represents a part of a whole or more generally any number of equal parts. A faction is a small organized dissenting group within a larger one or a state of conflict within an organization. See: Anti-Rioters and Rioters, Mafia and Town. Those are your factions.)

What you're overseeing is the fact that lynching is still helpful since they can get more votes in. If the Rioters or Anti-Rioters are actually dumb enough to blindly go about killing someone then that's what they're going to do I guess, it'll just cause them to kill themselves. If you think about it, if you have the benefit of all the Rioters and Anti-Rioters helping us get votes to lynch, then they go and kill one or the other, the remaining of the other faction will join our cause. We would benefit from both factions in the beginning and then a final faction in the end.

Or the Rioters and Anti-Rioters won't kill each other and they will be pit up against Mafia and themselves or just themselves. We won't know the outcome though but it's best not to go throwing assumptions about seeing how early we are in the game. I suggest we focus on the Mafia since the Rioters and Anti-Rioters can help us out on the sideline while they duke it out. The Rioters and Anti-Rioters are no threat to us and both factions are equally helpful, so I think it's best to leave them to their own games and go about fighting against the Mafia. Just a thought though.

You seem to be misinterpreting me. What I'm saying is that the Rioters don't manage to kill off the Anti-Rioters and vice-versa by time the Mafia or Town is killed off, leaving the Rioters and the Anti-Rioters to fight.

That's not what I was getting at at all. What I mean is what if neither of the Rioters or Anti-Rioters find out who the other factions' members are. I didn't mean wait to kill them, I mean't what if they didn't know who was who.

Evidently the vigi is still alive. which is a good sign. Anyway, it seems as if FallingSnow might've been the negotiator, because we were stressing over it, so the vigi must have decided to interrogate people and discover end the identity of a mafioso, fallingsnow. I'm guessing that the vigi decided that getting rid of fallingsnow would benefit the town. They were most likely right. Let's hope we get the propagandist or godfather today. I personally find [color="0000FF"]TheTurnipLord[/color] suspicious, as the accusations made by 8bitmushroom seem to make quite a bit of sense.

But in all seriousness of the game, I hope the Nego was defeated. I kind of fear for my life though...
I'm going to go safety on lynching until more evidence of Mafia activity comes to our attention.
