That rumor was recently confirmed as fake by the Neogaf user who made the claim.

Oh balls, my identity and my perfect plans have been foiled! In all seriousness though, to know that I was wrong is actually slightly depressing since I still didn't want to see these courses anyway, especially Neo Bowser City. Oh well, you win some and in my case you lose some.

Okay, so all the new tracks have been shown then.

Crossing Cup
-GCN Baby Park
-GBA Cheese Land
-Nature Road
-Animal Crossing

Bell Cup
-3DS Neo Bowser City
-GBA Ribbon Land
-Lingling Metro
-F-Zero: Big Blue

Gamexplain has videos for all of the courses on their Youtube channel if you want to see them.

Except baby park, every course is a good choice. Cheese land and Ribbon Road returned, which increases the chance of appearance of Sunset wilds in Mario kart 9. I could see Airship fortress instead of baby park.

This forum gets more weirder nowadays, even SMW Central isn't that strict...

I was a bit disappointed that Waluigi Pinball wasn't a part of Pack 2, but the great tracks made it up for it. Literally, every course added into looks amazing, especially that Big Blue track.

I love Ribbon Road from top to bottom. Its stunning and adorable at the same time. I also loved the Subway Station track. Its very different for a course but it makes so much sense in some regard. Also, we should probably have a tournament after the DLC Pack comes out(that is, if we haven't already planned this. I forgot if we did).

I'm actually really excited for every course, especially Baby Park, since I welcome any and all retro course love Double Dash gets.

I'll be very disappointed if Waluigi Stadium and/or Wario Colosseum doesn't appear in a future DLC pack, or something. Those levels are just asking for an HD remake featuring anti-gravity.

Why do you think I have been trying to tell people, "We need a tournament for Mario Kart 8."? I believe I made one a while ago and I'll see if I can get it started up.

I just have a question. Why out of all the courses you make return as DLC in Mario Kart 8....WHY THE FUCKING HELL DID THEY CHOOSE NEO BOWSER CITY?! I hated that course with a passion. Roads slippery due the fact its raining, tight turns were if get nudged slightly it could ruin your day, and above all else is the fact that there are a lot of item boxes here and the gap between the rows of them are way too long. It was hell driving this course in Mario Kart 7, I have a feeling it'll be hell playing this courses in this game.

H fact I love ice physics means I will love this track, but no items can be a good thing! Think I can beat you on it blind?

I'll go into detail why Neo Bowser City isn't that good. Like SWY64 had previously stated, it is tougher to make turns on the course because of the rainy status. Speaking of the rain, that is LITERALLY all that's happening in this course. Unlike a lot of other courses that feel more lively, the atmosphere on this course is just dull. The course layout itself is even pretty bland as is. And if you're gonna put hazards around, say on the turns like it does, then think up something better than puddles. Its raining everywhere already. You mean to tell me that a little puddle spins me out and the rest of the slip sliding mess you call a course doesn't do the same? I would say something about the music since its just a tacky remix of Mario Kart 7's Main Theme/Toad Circuit, but I don't really have to complain much since its only in this course this time around. All I truly liked about this course was the Clown Car that you could fly over in the distance and for namesake the concept, but again, they didn't quite put the nail in the head.

Now I can't say 3DS Neo Bowser City is all that bad in Mario Kart 8 so far. Visually, it looks better than it did in Mario Kart 7, and by this point that is it's only redeeming factor. If they make it so the course feels appealing like it looks appealing, then maybe I could actually respect it a bit more.

The rain makes it slippery, and in turn, I love Ice physics, so in turn, why would I hate a level/track with them unless it really is bad! I can not wait to play that track! SNES rainbow road is still my favorite though...
