No deadline has been given and the images are just over one screen long so you could get a couple done.
I have been busy with a contest, so I never got a chance to try this...
It only takes an hour to make one.
But it does not take the same amount of time for everyone to make a screenshot.

It's just simply saying that if you're experienced with your stuff and have crafted a plan for your screenie, it takes a relatively short time to implement it.

Also Joey, what's the current status?

Still accepting submissions! I haven't pooled all of the current submissions together yet.

"Vanilla" in our context means "no custom gfx".

I am beginning to feel like no one but me is making stuff anymore, maybe we should shut this down and calculate the results.

I don't think it needs to be shut down until Joey is ready to put screens on the new part of the site.

Hey Shadowknight, please have a look at the rules in the first post as well as others' submissions in this thread to get a feel for what I'm looking for. Also, please embed your image using the [img] tag instead of uploading it to MediaFire. Let me know if you have any questions.

PGE's tool for taking screenshots of full levels would be a good way, but I've never used it so you'll have to consult the PGE documentation or the Help and Support forum if you need help with it. You can also take multiple SMBX screenshots and then edit them together with Paint.NET. With either method, you'll need to crop them (not resize by stretching) to 960x480px.

Here I have been explained how to easily take level screenshot of the fixed size: http://www.smbxgame.com/forums/v ... 91#p242691
But you required taking a laboratory build where this was being implemented (after fixing some set of reported bugs I'll release it officially to begin huge reorganizing job after)
You can copy-paste this to the main post (into the spoiler) as quick guide of most easy way

SMBX 2.0's PGE has the screenshot tool.
