Why not just call it 1.4?
(If there is a SMBX 1.4 already, You could also call it 1.5)

Because what happened to 1.4 - 1.9?Tinkerbell wrote:Why not call it 2.0?Koopinator wrote:Why not just call it 1.4?

1.4 is not the same as 14.Koopinator wrote:Because what happened to 1.4 - 1.9?Tinkerbell wrote:Why not call it 2.0?Koopinator wrote:Why not just call it 1.4?

It will never be released for SMBX.Prado wrote:would be even more usefull when the online mode is released.
Don't worry, Lua or Wohlstand will do itSnifitGuy wrote:I thought online functionality was going to be added in SMBX 2.0+h2643 wrote:It will never be released for SMBX.Prado wrote:would be even more usefull when the online mode is released.
But we don't have SMBX's source code, there's no way we can add it.Prado wrote:Don't worry, Lua or Wohlstand will do itI'm inclined to always be positive
Try to think how can we add something absolutely new in SMBX. Also notice how we can't change anything in the original SMBX Editor, even with LunaLua - we don't have SMBX's source code.Prado wrote:Even with LunaLua?
Not only that, but it's an extremely intricate and difficult thing to get working properly, so would take a lot of time and effort that at the moment needs to be spent on other things (like polishing up the new characters). It will be a while before anyone is in a position to really even consider implementing netplay, though it is technically possible to do.Horikawa Otane wrote:Well, believe it or not, and idk if I'm supposed to say this, netplay is possible to add to SMBX.Prado wrote:Understood. Let's wait for PGE.
But the question of the console, it's possible to create a console?
But right now don't get your hopes up. It's VERY far down on the list of things to do and WON'T be in 2.0. Maybe that'll be the key new featured added to 3.0 or 4.0 or something. But yeah, it's under consideration. Just... VERY low on the list.

the c++ redistributables that this uses i'm pretty sure will only run on vista/7 and above.ShadowStarX wrote:Well, I have windows XP.Prado wrote:I have Windows 7 Professional 32 bits and it runs very wellShadowStarX wrote:Why can't SMBX 2.0 run on win32? Because it doesn't work for me at all.
EDIT:
After extracting, the files are all 0 bytes for me. How can I solve that?
