This attitude is the problem.

Fun fact: Polls are not always reliable because they can easily be rigged. Your fascination and reliability on polls is quite an interesting one, and I'm afraid it's not going to get you anywhere when you have to fall back on them in every conversation because you can't hold your own ground and be independent.

Plenty agree with you? Like who? Put a name to the number.

But when have they?

Just saying that really has no legitimacy since you have no proof of that as Syndrilevosse mentioned

Doesn't this completely contradict

I'd argue there's a bit of a difference between speaking for the community when you engaged in disscussion without them about this subject versus when you haven't, and from what I've seen of Supershroom's engagement with the community all he does is backseat moderate, "humor patrol" and lick the admins' boots. Not speaking for the community but rather the people running it.

Backseat moderation from my side? I'd like to have clarification on that (I know I've been called out a few times). All I may have been doing is asking people to stop if they're obviously acting out of line (e.g. spamming), and I don't always feel the need of consulting a staff member for that, and I'm also ignoring a couple of stuff. When something blatantly stupid happens I don't really want to ignore it, though.

I'm really not, or at least not intending to. What is bad about being friends with them, or at least having a positive communication basis with them? Doesn't that give you better chances to get your opinions heard? And I'm not blindly agreeing on all staff's decisions. I'm thinking independently, based on my own good judgement.
What's the problem with using the term "we"? I've said what I meant, that's all what matters.

Ignoring it is the best way though. If you don't ignore it and respond to it, you literally give the person what it wants aka attention. Therefore let a staff handle it, you don't have any power over it and people won't listen to you.
"What is bad about being friends with them"
Question is though.. are they also friends with you? Don't call people you only know for a few months already friends.. they could always backstab you and get you into danger.. specially if you met them on the internet. Also nope.. being on a good side with the staff doesn't really increase the chance of having the opinions better heard.. this shouldn't happen, because that would be unfair to everyone else who is not on good terms with them.

That's not your job. Use the report button next time.

Hey, how about a special temporary subforum for Halloween and Christmas with some mini-events and other stuff?
EDIT @MrBriney: A special board style (plus some background music) would be part of that of course.

I think that would be so pointless, useless, and inactive along with an immense amount of shitposting. Since this forum is international, many people also don't celebrate the same holidays

Supershroom's idea is good but could we have board style for Halloween and Christmas? And yes, Mario-themed!

Can we have a smw board theme? If it gets approved, I can prooobably take care of making it if someone can provide me with the smb3 board theme for this site (so I can use it as reference).

I think that's a good idea. It'd be neat if we could also have a SMB1 and SMB2 theme - I could probably make the SMB2 one if I had the current theme as a reference.

simply some amusing tradition? I'd also think these wouldn't be a bother for people from regions that don't know / practice Halloween or Christmas. And the Halloween "season" would also last at least a week and the Christmas season would last at least two weeks (to encompass New Year; also how about some Secret Santa event)

I don't think it needs its own sub-forum no matter what you're doing. Just post in Sandbox

I don't think that one would plan overriding the theme of Sandbox with a special seasonal theme (background + music). Also, a separate subforum would be easier to archive later on.
