This episode looks sick, is a SMB2 episode? Regardless, i'm giving it a try!
I think you can find some Youtube videos on that.Enderkill9 wrote:What the heck were you thinking with that hammeed the kiwi mini boss, how am I supposed to dodge those spiny things? Am I supposed to kill hammed?
Woah, that's a pretty darn' impressive map! How long did it take?Nonlen17 wrote:Wow, you weren't kidding when you said the levels are logically connected! I was surprised to see how all level maps fit (almost) perfectly into one giant map if you combine them together. And, well, I did... in graphical style of Metroid:The house icon is where the game starts, circles are star locaions, Ss are the waypoints, skulls are... boss battles. (somebody please implement this map into the game lol, just like in that one SMBX2 example level)Mario Prime Map: show
Awesome game, though at the end when you get all the stars and go for the reward the game really trolls you if you decide to reenter the vase, since it leads back to the start of Subconopolis catacombs. It's that one vase in the purple area with a cup on my map near the center. I was so disappointed that I couldn't get my reward even when I collected everything, that is until I found out that I can access the purple area from the desert (really didn't want to go through that last boss again).
SMB2 rocks!!! And so do you and this game!
Thanks, it took me half a week to create it and double-check things. This could be a legit Metroid game with such a nice mapSnessy the duck wrote:Woah, that's a pretty darn' impressive map! How long did it take?
Very awesome! I'll use the map since I hate backtracking with no memory of where I've been or what I've seen, and I don't really want to draw a map for every place I been to.Nonlen17 wrote:Thanks, it took me half a week to create it and double-check things. or something, and I am searching for the famous Protective Suit or something but I don't know where to look for, and I need it toYou don't need every star on the world to achieve great things
Why not be more constructive with your review? Why exactly did you like the episode?YairDude wrote:so far i've only played a small bit of this, but i really like it so far!
Glad you got forward. It's kind of hard to say which star you are missing at this point. But there is only one star in Grueling Grotto (the one you get after fighting Twin Masks of Kroni). You should head to Subconopolis and go to the room all the way to the left. There you can see the amount of stars you have collected in each area. Once you find out which level it is, I can give you more information.8lue Storm wrote:or something, and I am searching for the famous Protective Suit or something but I don't know where to look for, and I need it toSpoiler: show
The bosses can only be beaten in a set order with one exception:Taycamgame wrote:Is there a set order in which the bosses are meant to be beaten?
I killed the blue birdo boss in the cave first. Then i went to the desert. I didn't kill the boss in the desert, i don't know how you get there. Anyway after the desert i backtracked through area 1 (pesky pastures) and found myself in the shivery sleet. I wasn't sure if i was supposed to be there yet but i could not return as there was a locked door there. Anyway i beat the hawk mask in the ice area second.
I get that there may not be a set order in which bosses have to be beaten, but is there an order that you intended the players to go through?
6 bosses? But on the map that Nonlen made, there are 7 bosses (5 red and 2 yellow, don't know why)Reign wrote: The bosses can only be beaten in a set order with one exception:

He made hameed the 7th boss but reign considers it as a mini-boss.Taycamgame wrote:6 bosses? But on the map that Nonlen made, there are 7 bosses (5 red and 2 yellow, don't know why)Reign wrote: The bosses can only be beaten in a set order with one exception:

Also this is a really interesting game so far, if a little hard. I'd love it if there was gonna be a sequel! Interesting story, layout, gameplay... this episode has it all. It's a great challenge aswell.
Hameed is actually not a boss on the map either. When I wrote the order of the bosses, I left out the secret boss that you can beat after finding 25 stars. He is on the map, however.TheNewGuy wrote:Taycamgame wrote:Reign wrote: He made hameed the 7th boss but reign considers it as a mini-boss.
Also, if you are not familiar with am2r, red marks beaten bosses and yellow marks unbeaten ( if you get out of the room before beating it).
Oh,ok.Reign wrote:Hameed is actually not a boss on the map either. When I wrote the order of the bosses, I left out the secret boss that you can beat after finding 25 stars. He is on the map, however.TheNewGuy wrote:Taycamgame wrote:
I can code the map straight into the episode with some time if you want.Reign wrote:That map is a great addition.I think I'm going to include it in the game .zip- file. I'll also check out the warp mistake.
