If there is no indication for which version an episode/level is for assume it is for SMBX2. If it does not work, try it in 38A. If it still crashes, then you are doing something wrong.
If an episode was released before 2015 or has been featured, then it is not for 38A.

But how can we know if it was featured or not? (I know this one was featured in November since the Episodes page shows it, but in the case if an episode was featured a long time ago, how can I know?)

In that case just follow my first instructions, and you should get the episode working at some point.

Thanks. Now I know what to do if an episode/level topic does not mention a SMBX version...

Bump
Well I tried this and it's great!
World 1's music is pretty good, 1-3's got stuck in my head :p

Sorry for the triple post but...
I have a question: I'm not so sure if the music from this episode comes from some video game so, isn't there anything wrong if I use some of the songs in my project? At least 1-5's, I really like it.

asked him on Discord
The only track not allowed to use is Osoroshi's final battle theme
As it was composed for the episode specifically

another double-post
Ok, so recently I completed this episode so I guess I can review it a bit:
(too late though)
All the design and aesthetics were good, pretty varied. One of my favorite levels was Uprising Heights, the design and the setups with the platforms were great. Also, I realized that all the levels outside of Bowser's Vacation Volcano have approximately the same difficulty, excepting Bubble Heaven though. Some jumps were too long, and the bubbled spinies made them even harder.
I also liked a lot the soundtrack you used, specially in the levels Grassy Gardens, Hammer Plains, Plain Scroll (that song is pretty sweet), Nighty Brambling, Fishy Planks, Lazy Forest, Veggie Platforming, World 3's boss battle, every world 4 level, Volcanic Ride, and specially the underwater effect of the overground melody on Sea Stroll.
The setups and events on every phase of every boss battle were great as well! But in my opinion you exaggerated a bit with the world 3's boss difficulty. The Osoroshi's battle is difficult enough for a final boss and it's even easier than the gray Lakitu.
And I have to say that the worldmap is nicely designed. The themes of the levels fit with their position on the worldmap, and the sky on Strawberry Clouds is pretty nice too. In my opinion you should have separated world 1 and 3 but the rest makes up for it!
This episode was great so I'm animated to play the remastered version. Good job!
8/10

I think it looks like a well designed episode, certainly one that has a lot of love put into it I might have to give this a try, anyone recommend it?

Oh cool, I've found it to be difficult to make a truly unique Boss Fight without Lua, thanks for recommending it.

So.. it looks great, sadly, thsi doesn´t even out the fact of the problems you apparently had with the hitboxes. The Level where you can´t tocuh the edge of the wooden platforms in the first world for example, or the throwing stars of the ninji Endboss.. For that reason i stopped after world one, great design, but hitboxes are important. Would be great if you take a list at these 2 problems and check your world for more, for now, i won´t go on playing it, even though i want to, since the design is very good..

It was posted in march 2014, when 1.3 was the only available version.
