If I end up hiding a level, I will play with a small character and the Character I am told to play with (via lua coding or just told).

Not all of what MECHDRAGON777 said is true. The judges will start each level is small Mario; no power-up, no reserve power-up, no nothing. You must provide player blocks if the player should play the level with a character other than Mario

The rules say lua is not allowed, so you can make it so the level starts you as that character.

Where are you getting all of this false info? LunaLua is allowed and it's stated so twice in the main post

That was a typographical error. I tried to type (disallowed) since it is allowed, you can code it tonstart you off as the filtered character.

Can we use non-star goals as an obstacle? (for example, keyholes in a level where you have to take a key for something)

You can do whatever you want, as long as it's within the rules

However, I think I took off for it in the MaGKLX2 contest I judged...

Thanks, I was confused on the wording of the "only use a star" part for some reason.

Can we have the judges include a death count with their reviews? I'm intrested in how hard my level is going to be

A death count isn't required, however the judges will each give a difficulty rating out of 20

My difficulty score comes from an equation that uses my death counter.
