Because this thread will probably get lost anyway? And the Pokemon thread was mainly made for any related Pokemon stuff?

That's like saying why have a main zelda thread when we can make 20 other threads about our favourite zelda dungeons/bosses/enemies/characters/villains.

This would just cloak up the section, which is why it's better to have one single thread for it instead of 30 seperate ones which resolve about the same game.

I still don't see how that makes sense

I had trouble figuring out where you replied back, since you input it into my quote. Also how does that not make any sense?

The point of an overall main thread is, that the section doesn't get cloaked up with threads that resolve about the same thing.
This here is practically a thread about the favourite starter pokemon from every gen, which practically could just be asked in the main pokemon thread.

Thing is ur thread will most likely get replies no question, but it probably will be lost in 1-3 weeks since most people post only in the main one.

Another example would be the introductions thread. It was mainly made so the sandbox section doesn't get cloaked up with the same type of discussion over and over. Even if a different person made an introduction thread for themselfs, it's the same thing. People say hi and stuff and then never reply to it again. So this is why we have the introductions thread, because it is the main thread for users to be greeted and not make multiple threads that resolve about the same thing.

I think I might see your point "Don't expect it to be on the front page for long".The point was not to keep it up for months it kind of does not matter to me how long it stays on the front page for it doesn't bother me really .

Well, I've already been through the fact that I only really pick water starters, but I can at least name my favourite generations, in order:

1. Gen III
2. Gen VII
3. Gen V
4. Gen II
5. Gen VI
6. Gen IV
7. Gen I

Has anyone tried out Magikarp Jump yet? From what it's worth, it seems to be quite addicting and fun at first, but it gets less interesting because there isn't really much input from the player.

Tried it recently and it doesn't let my hands put down my phone.

Pokémon Direct tomorrow! Please be on Switch, whatever it is.

Also this is to be taken with a grain of salt but there's been leaks:
Spoiler: show

I'd like to see that happen and the artwork looks convincing, but the gameplay image just kinda rubs me the wrong way

In case anyone was wondering, the supposed leak has been confirmed as fake. However, it seems pretty weird, and almost conveniently timed, that they'd pop up with a Direct just around the corner. Also, rumours have popped up about Pokemon Stars supposedly getting a potential leak, and involving various gameplay features. Take everything with a grain of salt because this could very much be fake:
Open this at your own risk!: show
The games will be available for both 3DS and Switch and the two versions can communicate with each other
The image shows Gladion in his new outfit (confirmed fake)
Alola will be the setting for the game and Kanto will not make an appearance
Characters from Sun & Moon will appear and have grown up since we last saw them
Gladion now runs the Aether Paradise
Gyms are now present in Alola, with Trials no longer existing
No new Pokémon or Mega Evolutions
Necrozma receives a new form
New exclusive Z-Moves
Plot of the game is heavily focused on past events and will feature many cutscenes
The game will explain how Necrozma fell into our world
Characters are called Kaosu and Hoshi

"stars will be a thing" has been a theory many things and there were even some leaks of that so it's very much possible that the leaker has been working on this for quite some time and has been waiting to release it. He may have planned doing so before E3?

Tbh i liked the trials more than some of the gyms in pokemon, if they actually would do that for real replacing the trials with gyms i would fit that a bit strange.

Also imagine if Gladion suddenly would really lead the aether foundation.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon have been confirmed for 3DS as opposed to the Switch! Thoughts? I'm absolutely stoked!

I'm very disabointed that it won't be on the switch and I hoped it would have been a sinnoh region remake. My 3ds was broken so I will buy a new one in a year or 2 but I will be buying a switch soon.
