That aside though, I'm hyped! A bunch of my friends want to get into SMBX but want to wait for 2.0 so that they can have PGE and playtesting in one program.

I'm just happy we got slightly more time to finish the costumes. Most of the leading development team are represented now.

There are dummy blocks and NPCs natively included in 1.3, they're just not accessible by default. We're making use of them and add them to the PGE editor interface with .ini files. Their behaviour is handled through lua code, but you can replace their sprites and use txt files like you would with any other block/npc's sprite.

Yeah, on resources like new npc and blocks and such. On more complex apis and entities we should be able to get a better interface for controlling them in the future, once couple of things have been finished with pge.

"2.0" isn't only redundant, it's a disaster. It's in development hell with no passion. It's delayed by almost a year, a project that was supposed to take only a couple of months.
