I got some shy guys for my SEGA Mega Drive GFX pack! Was working on buzzy beetles and/or plants, but went for this instead:

WIP of the main antagonist from my possible project.
Image
His name is Star Lord, who is totally not a copy of Moon Lord from Terraria (it is) and he rules over the Star Road.

Is that supposed to be a text box icon? If not, do you plan on animating that? Because that looks like it's going to be a pain to do. Looks good, though I think the lighting looks weird in the middle.

I might have to make another sprite for the head because I think this one is a little too small. But yes, the actual boss sprite will look like that, but most of his body will be hidden in the background so I don't think It'll be that hard, unless I end up changing my mind since I'll take a while before I start coding him (I have yet to learn lua and he'll be the final boss, so no hurry).

He's not going to move much too, but if I decide to move him, I'll make something similar to the actual Moon Lord, where his limbs just rotate, instead of being animating frame by frame.

I think I'm getting too ambitious here, but I don't have many hopes of actually making this project anyway, so I might end up cancelling the episode before I even start on him lol

Also yeah, the lighting in the middle is indeed weird. I'll change it later.

EDIT: Made some tweaks to it. I'm not sure about the palette yet.

palette on the right looks super neat, but the shading could use a bit of roughening up. if you'd like, i'll show you what i mean.

What's up with the seemingly random holes in the Star Lord's head?

...which holes? The eyes?

If you mean making a texture on his skin, I'll work on that later. I'm not finished on the shading yet.

Been trying to add some more tiles and shit to my SEGA Mega Drive GFX pack, starting with some underwater sand tiles. Because why not Zoidberg?

Anything I need to improve on for this tileset? :?:

Is it because of the purple sand tiles? If so, it's only because I'm trying something different with the underwater sand tiles

Oh man, the short Green lava slopes for my SEGA Mega Drive GFX pack took me a while to make, but I managed to do it! ^^"

Now comes the long lava slopes, if I have time to make them!

Looks Good! Could also be used in a green switch palace of sorts.

Haven't had the thought of my SEGA Mega Drive castle tileset being used for a custom Green Switch Palace level. Good brain power.

the pipes need waaaay more contrast toward the brightest part of it. I can barely tell the difference between the 3rd and 2nd brightest shade
