I've never understood why some users here find humor in taking the name of another and create an incredibly similar name to use on IRC, whether it be mocking or in jest. Does it hurt to ask for permission?AirSeus wrote:Doesnt matter, I have more names that sound like yourszlakergirl357 wrote:I've registered that nick.AirSeus wrote: .Slackerboy357

Well, I didn't steal my name from Quill if that's what you're saying. I made it up myself but realized Quill had Melia already so I made a similar name because Melia was already taken.Layla wrote:I've never understood why some users here find humor in taking the name of another and create an incredibly similar name to use on IRC, whether it be mocking or in jest. On Knux forums, I had the second highest post count after a week of me being there! I had about 50 posts a day average! And I made more then 100 posts in one day as well there! I actually look at post count if you were wondering!Kyo wrote:Are you bragging about having nothing better to do with your life than posting? Makes sense coming from a user with a 20.75 post per day average.krazykat wrote:(not that it would matter much for me since I have the 3rd highest post count on all the forums lol

That's technically stealing of identity though. What if other users actually think you are zlaker? It's not always about your fun, and if someone would give himself a strikingly similar name to mine and started acting lik ea douchebag I wouldn't be happy tbh.Blck_Guy wrote:Layla wrote:I've never understood why some users here find humor in taking the name of another and create an incredibly similar name to use on IRC, whether it be mocking or in jest. Sometimes people like to have fun acting like other users/people to see what short of conversation they can have, than actually being themselves, if you get what I mean Layla

And a lot of people doesn't find that funny. I at least find that very annoying.
You're not allowed to fake other people's identities.Blck_Guy wrote:Some people can/still fall for it. Having . or ` can fool people into believing it's the real person, but it really not...
What? This is a topic so if you change your username others still know who you are. If you named yourself "laughing colours" then deal with it or request a name change to an admin.laughing colors wrote:Blunder! my name is the American spelling not the U
