It'll be out on Friday. After about 250 setbacks. But I crushed all of them.

I wonder how many of them I caused with the fact that I did a few things in the beta most people would not think about doing.

It's cool how you got it out early. By the way, I didn't make Triclyde, sorry for not replying to your PM. Mine replaced Larry and had LunaDLL modifications. Also, how do the complex event chains work in a game wide sense? Do they just reset upon exiting each level and it's sort of accepted that that doesn't mess with the plot?

Yes, everything resets upon changing the level or entering the world map. There aren't that many dialogs that develop the plot, it's more up to the player to talk to the Subcon and listen to their little stories that bring the whole plot together.

If you remember seeing a key surrounded by red switch blocks... maybe that's what you should try next.

That doesn't help at all, dude. I'm at now 18 stars either, I've defeated every single boss (Garden Guradian, Falcon and Firebird) but I want to ask, is the key you're talking about at Hameed the Kiwi's place or somewhere else?

Those who want to figure it out by themselves, do not open the spoiler:
The key is in Hushed Hollow (ascend), the vertical room with lots of rocks and poison mushrooms in between them. The key is surrounded by red switch blocks which can be opened by visiting the nearby room with Toad blocks in it. You should then take the key and go all the way to the big horizontal room with the moving bridges and just enter the red door you see, it should lead you to the right direction.

I just finished this episode, I had to take a break in the middle due to a holiday trip. Anyway, I never played the original episode, but this version is one of if not the best designed episode of all time. It took me about 25 attempts to beat the final boss because the phase with the flashing moving masks was insane, but I really liked it anyway. Graphically this episode was very good (congrats, Sednaiur). The mini challenges were fun as well.
My only little complaint would be the part after 18 stars where it's easy to get totally lost. I see I was not the only one having trouble with it.
I highly recommend this to everyone and am surprised to see it hasn't gotten more attention on this forum yet.

This episode is fun and the early areas look really nice... But later in the game the levels look kinda sloppy and rushed.

Oh my gosh, I didn't expect you to be done so soon with the new update! And wow, you actually listened to what I suggested you before. Btw you really should add me into the "Credits" as I see you used some of my GFX :>
Nice, I'm going to replay this episode when I'll get some free time. This is one of the best, if not the best SMB2 episodes I ever played.

Sorry for the bump, but I'm stuck at 12 stars after collecting the 2nd star of subcon throne, and I don't know where to go next.

Wherever you haven't been. Are there any 12 star doors?

I feel like I've explored every area avaliable to you with 12 stars, and I really have no idea where to go.

You should go to the underground waterfalls, it's located next to the area in Dazzling Sand Dunes where you gather coins. From here enter the star door and head down.
From the next area in Hazy Hollow, collect the item that allows you to destroy rocks and head right to the big room. In this big room head very close to the right end of the room and then go down this pipe.
From here you should find a checkpoint and some new areas.
