The nooses would also look much better if they had the same texture as the vertical rope

these actually do look pretty good, tbh. the volcanoes could be a bit taller, but it looks nice and fits the SMW style really well.

Not bad.... I see you're trying out a new custom style imo

So just think about ice and decide if the saturated dark blue in the upper left and the purple in the bottom right really fit

Of course they don't, I was making an experiment with the purple in the bottom... and about the dark blue... I forgot to remove it

well well well, what perfect timing XD
(I actually started working on this like an hour ago. I haven't been on the forums for a few hours, so I never saw that last post. hopefully everyone's still ok with this, lol)

and yes, it fits the usual 32x32 blocks, so it's 100% SMBX compatible so far.
EDIT: Frick, just realized while everything fits in 32x32, it's still 1x1 pixels instead of 2x2... great... gotta do it all over again... -_-

An actual SMBX compatible version coming right up, 2x2 pixels and all!
While the dirt has the same texture within the 32x32 space, the grass is planned to replace 6 different blocks to help with the authenticity of grass style variation. (as for the future sizable blocks, there will be BGO versions used to overlay on top of the sizables, helping with even more variation. basically, only the top center part of the sizables will still be dirt, allowing freedom for the BGOs to be placed)

After finishing my last WIP, I decided to use a SMB1 SNES color palette, mainly due to the original colors I chose for the grass which reminded me of that game.

Also forgot to mention this earlier, these look really amazing! The color palette looks nice, and the design fits so well with the SMB3 style! (that flame looks awesome, too!)

So I decided to go a bit beyond my territory and started making lava graphics. The slopes will be fun to make later on x.x

Probably the best lava Graphics I have ever seen. Maybe second? Can not wait to see how Sednaiur can even top that.

These look pretty good. I do recommend you to make the colours significantly brighter though.
Lava is a natural light source after all and these colours aren't bright and saturated enough to work properly as lava.
Another thing I suggest you to do is to slightly tone down on the amount of orange used near the bottom of the tiles. Kinda make the lighter colours "fade" into the red.
