Cosmik wrote:I've been looking at this for quite a while, but haven't used it until today. Even though NPC coding isn't overly challenging, even for less experienced users, this tool is very helpful. One question however, does the "name" code have any in game functions or is it just an organizational feature for the .txt editor if you have many files going at a time? Thanks.
Thank you and the name tag does not have any in game function. As you said, it is organizational. However, if you use PGE Editor, it will display the name tag for custom NPCs which is why I integrated the name tag functionality.
Cheers!

Whatever that means...
Plus.... I restored exe from quarantine because of Norton deleted it. Why? No idea.

But here you go.
And it can't find SMBX directory. I gave it C:\Program Files (x86)\SMBX
Still same thing. Let's look in this directory....

Well... maybe it's denying access. Run as admin... Can't find SMBX directory...
Maybe it's exe file that I should select C:\Program Files (x86)\SMBX\smbx.exe
Can't find SMBX directory...
Still, cool program. I checked it out and i don't have to search for npc flags to make txt file now. thanks. Whatever Norton had to it. I don't care

it's not a virus, the source code is on github. as to why it would be marked as one, i have no idea. i do modify the registry but i don't make drastic changes. you're putting in the directory not the exe location. as for that error, i have no idea what it says i only speak english

I used google translator for translating so... You probably knoe how it translates. But Here is something more understandable: For details on invoking debugging JIT (just in time)
instead of this dialog box at the end of this message.

How to get the error? Starting blank animation (I did that by mistake)

What didja say? The PGE Editor? Are you talking about the level editor in SMBX? I'm so sorry if I bothered you. I only joined since yesterday.

Right-click on NPC -> New NPC configuration
But that level file must be saved, not untitled.
And another ways which also allows access to NPC.txt editor:
1) Open menu "File -> New -> NPC Configuration", then choice a base NPC which you want to modify, then save file to folder where you want to have this NPC and to take custom graphic view
2) Just drag and drop any exist npc.txt file (or create empty) into the PGE Editor's window

Okay, a few minutes ago I read about how your rank changes from how many posts you create! I'll be more careful. So sorry. I already have the Koopa rank, and even I agree that I am posting too much! I should be at Shy Guy rank.

Does this NPC code editor still allows you to put decimal npcs? (I Mean't like, for example, 1.9 would be 19)

In the PGE Editor decimal value appears when your value in GUI is not equal to integer. Decimal value appears when you really have non-integer speed value. Other values are integers and booleans, and some extra PGE specific fields are may contain anything and there are takes no effect to SMBX, but may be useful while editing in PGE Editor (for example, grid size, grid offsets, name of NPC, etc.)
