Okay, so I've found a bug that seemingly nobody's noitched before in the game masters description:
It still says they control the Roleplays section, but since that section's dead, it doesn't make much sense.
Edit: That isn't actually a bug according to Joery.
Also, I feel like a lot of my previous points (Like the "How did you find SMBX" and the episodes subforum text) are being ignored.
Edit: Also, I think we should make LunaLUA a main forum instead of a subforum, since it's kinda weird it's the only non-archive subforum on the entire forum. And it's a pretty impotand part of SMBX nowadays.

Game Masters group description isn't a bug and doesn't need to be changed. Removing "How did you find SMBX?" and changing the Episodes forum description are up to the admins, as is moving the LunaLua subforum. The current forum icons are fine the way they are.

Intuition, you did a great job as a mod, and I hope you had a good time

I just thought it was an error since RPs aren't a thing anymore. Guess I'm wrong then.

I just wasn't getting many responses on them, so I just assumed they were ignored. By the way, what do you think of some of my ideas?
Joey wrote:The current forum icons are fine the way they are.
It was also just a little cool idea I had to make the forums a little more visually appealing (Inspired by the MFGG forums), but I can see why that would make some people confused.

I also think that the ability to turn on/off the ability for users to view who has voted for each option in polls. I think this could be especially useful in Mafia host sign-ups as I feel it can be a factor in deciding which game you want to play, especially if someone self-voted (which IMO is enough to already say that the game should not go forward).

Imo the current ranking system isn't that great since it's more of a post counter than anything and is generally pretty pointless imo since there's already a post counter right below it, so I think we could improve it by reintroducing medals or having it so fulfilling certain achivements would increase it. That would make for a much more fun ranking system that actually functions like a rank system instead of a post counter.

The featured episodes should come back as well, and the community should vote for the month's featured episode in my opinion.

Please leave the ranks as they are, they're cool. Some thing like medals would be an even bigger incentive to flood posts, and generally the users who give too much about ranks and postcounts and are childish about it are the problem, not the ranks themselves.
As for features episodes, it would be cool for them to return at some point but there's simply not enough of them coming in to pick one each month.

Except for that one time when we had medals that gave incentive to make meaningful posts? All the rank system does is encourage posting in general, and it only works on the aforementioned childish users. People who don't care about ranks post on their own without needing an incentive, so there's literally no downside to removing it or replacing it with medals.
In fact, while just removing it gets rid of the spampost-incentive for childish users that you deem problematic, re-introducing designated medals goes a step further and can encourage targeted behaviour. We used to have medals for "Helpful User" who spent a lot of time helping other people in the community out, or "Forum Supporter" which was a medal for people who were making good suggestions that pushed the forum onwards. It's a much smarter incentive than just saying "lol make post for a pretty image below your avatar", since it's more exclusive, the icons aren't a mystery and they are actually a reward for positive behaivour.

I only hinted at a kind of medals that would be given for a certain postcount, not "Helpful User" or "Forum Supporter". And the occasional childish posts that e.g. say "omg I'm Bob-omb now" aren't much of a bother too.

I never touched upon the subject of posts of people mentioning their post count. The "lol make post for a pretty image below your avatar" line is basically what the current system is telling the users. IMO the occasional confusion over what a rank even IS is a bigger bother than these "omg I'm a Bob-omb now" posts, because those are actually confusion towards an unclear and arbitrary system that does nothing but generate that confusion.

While this would be a useful feature, I don't believe it's something that the phpBB software allows.

We can't reintroduce medals because our forum software doesn't support the medals mod.

I think I found what they were talking about.

The problem of the ranks is that some people like to spam to get higher ones. In my opinion, punishment should be more severe for these spammers

A ban is already enough of a punishment.

It really doesn't happen very often and it's dealt with just fine imo

On top of that, I don't think self-voting is that big of an issue because it's a singular vote, and saying that games who have had someone self-vote don't deserve to go forward is pretty benign, because nine times out of ten that means none of the games deserve to go forward.

There's nothing shameful about voting for yourself. It's very common to allow people to do that. As a person who plays mafia, you have the right to vote for what game you like, and if that's your own game then that's perfectly fine.
This notion of yours that people who vote for their own game should be disqualified is out of touch with reality, and I would hate for you to convince people to share this opinion.

Well, I'm a sad duck now. Hope they can get reintroduced at some point though. Also, I'm kinda confused about this, since the MFGG forum also uses phpBB, and that thing has a medal system (Called badges there).
