I'm sorry, it's just that i though it would rank higher but everytime i make a level hoping it will get a decent score, it
always ends up with scores like, 1.5, 0.5, 3.5, etc. It makes me feel like i'll never make a level a length enough to do good in any contest.

Thanks for telling me this, also, when you said termite, did you mean the thing with a horn?

I'll try harder next time, I was in a huge rush becuase of my personal life.

The thing on the vines was near impossible if not not impossible without a tail!.

those were spiders, not termites. Also Mosaic. You have potential. Just don't make your levels incredibly long.

Uhh, that was the issue for for the visual contest... I am also judging all of the contests... Your levels are fun, but broken. The break-ability is the main thing I take off If I remember correctly (same for cutoff, and other mishaps)

For ease of things, just message me what characters are meant to beat the level and I can tell all the other judges about this so they don't review with those characters.

His reviews are usually very biased. Take a look at his review for my level for example. Honestly it doesn't deserve a 9.9 lol. He downgrades for the weirdest reasons. Also that cutoff that he saw was only visible when he jumped down, meaning that he probably memorized when it would take place and deliberately jumped off when he wasn't supposed to which isn't the designer's fault at all. Also when someone increases your score for the ability to speedrun the level or some other weird reason like that, then that review probably shouldn't be taken seriously. If anything, the other reviews make a lot more sense. I'm not trying to put anyone down or anything, but if someone is going to review something, at least include things that are somewhat relevant. (I did fix that area where the player can get stuck in the star room in the version I released. At least that made sense lol)

You may actually be right, because in his review of my level, he said that he makes long levels but what i made was just ridiculous when his CC11 level sanctuary fortress 2 was much longer. Plus he gave a much lower score on my level than any of the other judges. And alot of the downgrades didn't even make sense.

eh I would say that they were about the same. What separated your level from his in that contest was that your level was straightforward regardless of how long and repetitive it was. His level was a huge maze that took the player hours to figure out. It was the about the same length, but the amount of time it took the player to get through it is another thing. His level had some creativity in it, but it wasn't done very well. Again, all I can say is to shorten your levels and polish them up as much as you can and you should be fine.

Hey I'm very sorry at how disappointed you must feel. As PixelPest said, these contests mean nothing when it comes to you as a level designer. Just because you haven't scored too well doesn't mean you're a crappy designer. Heck I made these contests to help give people motivation to make more levels. These contests are meant to be enjoyable and competitive, so I really encourage you to keep signing up. You're a talented lad!

He simply meant they were fitting.
As far as the meteor heads being mad annoying is the equivalent of him saying how he found them to be a pain to have in the level and much worse than the meteor heads in the actual game.
That's my fault there for not interpreting the annoying part for the meteor heads correctly, and for messing with the adjective for the zombie graphics.

If I said note, it is something that stood out to me, but did not go with a plus or minus.
I will state the reason for each minus:
A. All three times I played your level, was hit by a shell that came on screen from a slope, staying in the air actually made a painful impact.
B. You used a gimmick in the exact same way in your visual contest. The same thing that caused cutoff.
C. The Thwomp King told me their was a checkpoint, but I beat it without ever seeing one.
D. On the note that I mentioned bringing a Tanooki suit, I never used a cheat, you can ask The Thwomp King yourself. I actually looked in the editor for the secret star, but saw that block.

Also, next time I do a textual review, I will ask the person to take the notes Verbatim I guess. i should also state I should of proof-read the list more carefully!

I do appreciate the level, but when Prox said I memorized where the platform was, I see judging as breaking the level or trying to break it at our best. Testing every possible situation. In your level, before jumping down their, I actually verbally said a player would get stuck, and the cit off was what I saw while double checking. It is always better to make sure that if that happens,you either kill the play instantly for falling, or make it so they can get back up.

Also, as for Prox, I was not being biased at all, no matter how hard it may look. I was looking for things to take of for in his level. Not a single positive was I looking for. The things about the enemies being ice proof was me checking to see if it made since. (Penguin is immune to ice, and the chain chomp being immune to ice makes it so you can not carry it and cause cutoff with the chain) I will admit, I should taken of for the Fliperous not being ice proof though. I actually played his level with Toad, so I never really have any reason to get backlash on that.

On Supermario12345's level, it is one of the best levels I have seen from him, however, I found the story fun. Some of the things in it though are unorthodox though, such as the bees replacing rippers to mess with a power-up, or a herb to blok a pipe and long line riders.

The way I judged this contest is actually be playing the level over Skype screen share and I asked The Thwomp King to type out the notes I said. Originally, the notes were me t to be for him; then, it got ti the point of random things ghat stood out. I am sorry for any commotion and I hope you all can see why I prefer video judging. I hope my compute gets to the point where I can record again (my computer has been having issues with all programs lately), so sorry for the inconvince. (However you spell <in-co-vin-yance>)

Edit: andialifbatara: why are you upset I gave you what you think is a low score when you got a 5,9 when that is my third highest this contes and you made third? ...also, their is the fact that I consider anything above 5,7 a good score. On top of that, without my reviews, you would of placed at third! My reviews did not effect the top three from what I see. My score may have even boosted you from lower to third. (I can not check with a calculator at this time.)

Prox: just for the record, some of the thing in the review, I do not even remember saying...
