I know it's a bit late, but Sun and Moon have been released everywhere but Europe (why? ). For those of you that have the games, how are you finding them?

EDIT: Raising a Pichu. What move to get rid of: Thunder Shock, Charm, Echoed Voice, Sweet Kiss or Nasty Plot?

I've been thinking of getting Pokemon Sun or Moon at one point, since I really want to start playing the mainseries games! I've enjoyed playing Pokemon Go (For a short time, then I got bored) and I've heard really good things about them, so I'd really like to give them a shot! Sadly, my 3DS screen is broken, so I'll have to wait a bit until I can get them!

If you sort out your team correctly, then Whitney isn't that bad. In fact, the easiest way to do it without intense grinding is to trade for Machop in the department store, and hope that it's a female, then it won't be affected by Attract. As for Cynthia, that's a different story. You actually need to carry an Ice-type along with you so you can make short work of the Garchomp, or bring a Pokemon that knows powerful Ice moves, such as Gyarados.

i had a useless weavile because i didn't realise that his defense is the worst thing ever ._. (my team is in my signature)
yeah and whitney isn't really THAT hard but it also takes some time if you don't have the right pokémon.

Weavile isn't useless at all. Its defenses might be pretty bad, but its Attack and Speed make up for that, and it has a pretty great offensive typing too.

Well, the former, yeah i had trouble with whitney, you'd think i'd be easy since i had a Heracross but it was male so it really didn't work,
and i had to use a female WOOPER to win, yeah i know.
And about Cynthia, surprisinglly, unlike most people, i really didn't have too much of a problem, maybe it's because
i got EXTERMELY lucky and dragon rush missed like 4 times in a row so i was able to take it out quickly. Plus i had a counter
for each of cynthia's pokemon so it wasn't too hard.

Cynthia is definitely the most difficult Champion for me on her own merits, but Lance might actually be harder if you don't grind too much considering how high-level his Dragonites are compared to anything that's come before.

it didn't take me much to defeat lance in crystal, since i used suicune and a gyarados.

Weavile isn't that bad. In my case, I'll go attack and speed over defense and HP.

Ya know, now with the Switch soon out, will they ever make, say, Pokemon Beta Emerald (OR/AS) or Pokemon Z (X/Y)? They are already gonna make Pokemon Stars (Sun/Moon) from the sources I heard. Although, that'd take some time... And if they do, that'd give me a chance to play those, since I never had a 3DS or Wii U.

I got Pokemon Moon on the 23rd and beat it on the 24th with 20 hours play time. My verdict? It's the best Pokemon game yet. Everything about it is fantastic. The Pokemon are great, the characters are lovable(especially so!), the story is good and the lore it provides for future installments opens up a lot of potential plotlines in the future. The music has also never been better. Gen 7 is off to a fantastic start.
Lillie is the best character in the game, too.
Shortly followed by chicken-chan, of course.

Nah, we're out of Generation 6 now. I have a feeling they're done with "third versions" in any case, considering there hasn't been one since Platinum, although Pokémon Z was probably going to be made at some point. Zygarde just feels left behind, even if it seems to have some role in the plot of Sun & Moon (which I haven't finished yet).

Meanwhile I finished the games with about 40 hours of playtime, gdi quill
Overall I really like Sun and Moon and how they implemented the plot into the gameplay by, say, making you care about the cover legendary or making the Ultra Beasts super unbalanced.
I personally really hope for a 3rd version on the Switch because there's a lot of cool stuff they could do with a B2W2-ish approach.

Golisopod is nuts, man. All that Attack and Defense, good defensive typing, and it learns three different priority moves, two of which get STAB (First Impression, Sucker Punch, and Aqua Jet).

Yeah, but it has a pretty bad ability, and First Impression isn't the best, I much prefer Leech Life.
