When the update is finished and released, will levels already made in 1.3 work if opened?

I'm pretty sure that is the intention, yes

This is valid certainly of course also for the final version of 2.0?

I like my level which I have provided with the version 1.3.0.1 so much that I would like to process further it in the final version of 2.0. :)

Well it will be. I heard someone tested The Invasion 2 with all of the characters and some of those newly created characters have troubles getting through it but there might be a way to get that fixed... but further on onto that it's not sure if that's probably it.

I don't think making all characters compatible with all levels is the point here and I'm not sure that's going to happen

Some characters are made for specific levels, like snake. You might be able to play with wario and megaman on a mario stage but just because it's there it doesnt meant it should go together, you know?

Point made. Like if there is a hollow ceiling, Zelda can teleport through it, possibly breaking the level. Keeping this in mind, you could create a puzzle like that, rendering the level impossible to complete with other characters.

Up to now the version 1.3.0.1 "and" 2.0 Beta did "not" function on my PC with Windows 10.

I have tried different, but I can't start these versions on my PC with Windows 10. :(

If the final version 2.0 did function on my PC with Windows 10, it makes of course no difference to me to start once again with my own episode. :)

Unless you used unused NPC and Block IDS, then yes.

Sorry if I sound silly, but what would be considered an an used NPC or Block?

Block and NPC IDs which you can't use in the normal SMBX editor.

Wait, do you mean the secret NPC tab or like 1.4 NPCs?

Secret ones like the lakitu are aviable in standard smbx... so it must be 1.4

1.4.x is a clone that makes levels incompatible with 2.0 and 1.3.x.

Actually no. The NPCs Enjl was referring to are npc291 (or smth) to 300, which have some pretty strange properties and are being used as a base for the new NPCs afaik.

I think they mean the dummy NPCs that people used to add in more NPCs without overwriting existing ones.

This is correct. There are a few NPC IDs that are unused in vanilla SMBX. These will all be used in 2.0.

Ah, I see.
There's no way at all to make those accessible?
