When the update is finished and released, will levels already made in 1.3 work if opened?
I'm pretty sure that is the intention, yesThe Handwoven Box wrote:When the update is finished and released, will levels already made in 1.3 work if opened?
This is valid certainly of course also for the final version of 2.0?PixelPest wrote:I'm pretty sure that is the intention, yesThe Handwoven Box wrote:When the update is finished and released, will levels already made in 1.3 work if opened?
Well it will be. I heard someone tested The Invasion 2 with all of the characters and some of those newly created characters have troubles getting through it but there might be a way to get that fixed... but further on onto that it's not sure if that's probably it.ben wrote:This is valid certainly of course also for the final version of 2.0?
I don't think making all characters compatible with all levels is the point here and I'm not sure that's going to happenbossedit8 wrote:Well it will be. Point made. Like if there is a hollow ceiling, Zelda can teleport through it, possibly breaking the level. Keeping this in mind, you could create a puzzle like that, rendering the level impossible to complete with other characters.migueeel wrote:Some characters are made for specific levels, like snake. You might be able to play with wario and megaman on a mario stage but just because it's there it doesnt meant it should go together, you know?
Up to now the version 1.3.0.1 "and" 2.0 Beta did "not" function on my PC with Windows 10.PixelPest wrote:I don't think making all characters compatible with all levels is the point here and I'm not sure that's going to happenbossedit8 wrote:Well it will be. Unless you used unused NPC and Block IDS, then yes.The Handwoven Box wrote:When the update is finished and released, will levels already made in 1.3 work if opened?
Sorry if I sound silly, but what would be considered an an used NPC or Block?Murphmario wrote:Unless you used unused NPC and Block IDS, then yes.The Handwoven Box wrote:When the update is finished and released, will levels already made in 1.3 work if opened?
Wait, do you mean the secret NPC tab or like 1.4 NPCs?Enjl wrote:Block and NPC IDs which you can't use in the normal SMBX editor.
Actually no. The NPCs Enjl was referring to are npc291 (or smth) to 300, which have some pretty strange properties and are being used as a base for the new NPCs afaik.Tinkerbell wrote:Secret ones like the lakitu are aviable in standard smbx... so it must be 1.4
This is correct. There are a few NPC IDs that are unused in vanilla SMBX. These will all be used in 2.0.migueeel wrote:I think they mean the dummy NPCs that people used to add in more NPCs without overwriting existing ones.
No. Levels using the block and NPC IDs which this module makes available: http://www.smbxgame.com/forums/v ... 69&t=15527JupiHornet wrote:Wait, do you mean the secret NPC tab or like 1.4 NPCs?Enjl wrote:Block and NPC IDs which you can't use in the normal SMBX editor.
