Mother fucking sonic 3 special stages. Why do people love these so much? I completely finished the game and didn't get a single one. At least in sonic 2 if you messed up you could recover, sonic 3 expects you to beat every stage flawlessly.


Then there's that god damn death egg boss, holy hell. For starters, it isn't considered a separate act. That means game over and your ass goes all the way back to the beginning of the act. This wouldn't be so bad if there weren't so many cheap deaths. After a shit load of tries, I beat all 3 fucking phases. Robotnik was dead, but I didn't run fast enough and fell into that obnoxious bottomless pit. Game over.

I have no desire to replay the stage, since the main line sonic games have shit credit sequences anyway. For all intensive purposes, I am done. I will never see the hidden act 14, but it honestly doesn't sound like it would be worth the effort.

YouTube let's players can make anything look like a cake walk COUGH bossedit COUGH. Plus, I prefer to experience these on my own. Heh, I actually beat that boss right after posting. I felt no sense of satisfaction.

for Sonic 3 it's not just those master addicts who have no real life. It's also the casual, lower-skilled players who can collect chaos emeralds (maybe without striving for the perfect bonus) and who easily beat the final boss.

That's the thing, I DID beat the final boss, but the crumbling floor didn't stop in time and I ended up losing my last life anyway. It's very aggravating because I did beat the doctor, I didn't lose to robotnik, I won but had nothing to show for it.


It was so climatic, I was at my last life with no rings and the time at 9:00. Everything was stacked against me, but I lost to something I could have never prepared for.

Talking about glitches, I get really annoyed when the game glitches and screws me over

This Fidget Spinner trend. It just shows how bad the internet has gotten.

The youtube app on 3DS piss me off so bad, the software is clumpsy, you cannot put comments on videos (or even watch them), watch "lives", the screen is small, all this in a lagging and reloading festival. It is so uselessly painful to use!

But Sonic 3 special stages are easy and cool, and Sonic 2 special stages is frustating, boring and unfair.
The only thing that you need is experience, and explore everything (but some of then are super easy to find).

I would have just completely dropped them all together and just had you find the emeralds like the 8 bit games.
