Some times when I'm typing a message, spell checker flips out and tells me everything (as in all words on screen) is spelled incorrectly. I know it's an issue with the site because it only happens here.

Spell checkers are browser side. It's your problem, not the site.

I've gone through a dozen versions of this post, but more than half of them would probably get me banned so I just took everything out except the bare request:
Utilize the Newly Registered Users group.

I'm with him on this, there are way too many spam users on this forum just sitting there, and more are just going to appear.

There is no way that we could utilize that group that wouldn't inconvenience actual new users, and it's not an appropriate fix for the "spam users sitting there" problem. The spam we have received recently is incredibly minimal unless I've missed something, and I have no problem with deleting those user accounts (and potentially banning patterns in their email addresses, which is what I've already been doing with the "spam users sitting there") since it's not like it's bothersome.

Agreed. I think imo it's more of a problem that people react constantly to those at all, or even post into those threads. And this is what they want. Attention.

1. who cares
2. Bothering new users with a slight inconvenience < Bothering everyone with spam
3. It's not an inconvenience to new users
EDIT 2: Are you purposefully letting bots join?

I think it was going to coincide with some of the wiki stuff. The wiki was wiped so it can be restarted, so maybe once that gets going the newsletter may happen

No, the newsletter concept was abandoned completely. I don't remember the specifics (I think they said it'd be too much work for too little viewership or something like that), but it's not going to happen.

What do the ranks mean? I want a Final Fantasy rank.
And why do banned users have a dead mario over their avatar. That sucks if you put work into your avatar and get banned.

I can't post in the Ranks thread anymore, for Joey locked it for reasons I don't know.

You can't those kind of ranks. Only Admins have them.
