We encourage using the report button so that people don't backseat moderate and make useless posts.

Ok, Joey, gonna be honest: your post looks so robotic.Joey wrote:We encourage using the report button so that people don't backseat moderate and make useless posts.
In fairness, whenever something gets reported nowadays, the post either gets locked or disappears entirely. So it's not like they aren'tTNTtimelord wrote:AeroMatter wrote:I thought if a rule was broken that's what you guys are supposed to be around for. Now past the remark, I remember when you guys would edit into a reported post with the edit message being "the reported post has been dealt with." I think this would show that you guys are at least taking action on posts instead of us leaving to guess whether or not a post that has blatantly broken the rules has been dealt with. Many of us WANT to know if there is action taken so we know that the moderators are doing their job efficiently.
Closing note: When we ask/want to know if a specific post has been dealt with, we are not trying to butt into business we don't belong in; we want to be assured our staff team is doing their job.
In this situation the post I reported was completely off topic and the report was immediately closed with no action taken. The job wasn't done.Quantix wrote:In fairness, whenever something gets reported nowadays, the post either gets locked or disappears entirely. So it's not like they aren't

Well what post was that anyway?AeroMatter wrote:In this situation the post I reported was completely off topic and the report was immediately closed with no action taken. It wasn't. I just gave a simple answer because that's what it is; using the report button internalizes potential backseat moderating/useless posting. The post I made before that was more robotic.TNTtimelord wrote:Ok, Joey, gonna be honest: your post looks so robotic.

I think that's a bug in the forum software, unfortunately.Ness-Wednesday wrote:Wow, we have a total of 4205 users on this forum.
Also Joey, why do the "registered users" pages don't work whenever I open it?
I moved it, however you could have just reported it as "wrong forum"Tinkerbell wrote:Why is this http://www.smbxgame.com/forums/v ... 69#p216969 in the levels section when it's actually a episode
Um.... Lord Joey? I can't delete my post. It's in general. And i forgot that i already posted it in sandbox. Can you delete it for me?Joey wrote:While this situation is similar it's not quite the same as what I was talking about, so not really.
I think either Valtteri or I had to raise it a while ago for some reason. It's not like it's a problem with automated accounts spamming PMs, so I'm okay with just telling people not to do it instead of enforcing restrictions on the PM system.
